complaints about Magmar

My tips as a semi-new player:

  1. Burn-horn can be beat by extremely aggressive lists
  2. Wanderer Ragnora also dies to extremely aggro lists
  3. Egg-mar is easy to deal with if you have artifact control and pings
  4. Vaath is the real problem, he hits too hard and heals too much; as a Lyonar player you might want to try Zir’an, she out-heals (and sometimes out-hits) Vaath.

OK GUYS, you really made my day, mainly because you bring back hope, since all of you are saying IT IS POSSIBLE to outstand MAGMAR, and also because you gave your truly best alternatives and answers. THANKS AGAIN. I WILL TRY GETTING THE CARDS IM MISSING AND BUILD A BETTER DECK WITH YOUR SUGGESTIONS. See you at the battlefield, Gonarrg.

You want to see something stupidly unfair?Play fault vet which also
-happens to counter vaath to the point where he has literally no chance to win
-outvalues midrange ragnora to the point where its forced to go aggro which is not its strengh
-is fairly weak against starhorn but starhorn doesn,t seem like your concern

I changed my deck to a more consistently one with Zir’an and made the first win of the day. THANKS AGAIN.

Funny to see this thread now as someone who plays magmar, because back in the day I had furious rage against lyonar; I know its not strong right now but that hateboner will never go away.

But I probably agree that Magmar’s powerlevel is kinda stupid.

They’re home to the second best deck in the game right now, Wanderer Ragnora. It’s also a pretty popular deck in S and other tiers.

I think its overrated.The meta is fault vet and anything aggresive enough to kill it without caring about the board past 6 mana
Ragnora is just as weak to those aggresive decks
while having nowhere near the oppresiveness of faultvet past 6mana

Many of the players with high spots in S rank and lots of tournament wins seem to think otherwise.

You may have your own but the vast majority of players have found consensus on what the meta is right now and it’s not Fault or Aggro. Not to mention that Wanderer doesn’t struggle with Aggro from my experience.

My opinion aside…the agreed meta is indeed fault
On the tierlist fault got spot 1…so it is meta in the eyes of the majority of players

Fault is number 1 but it is largely agreed upon that Wanderer Ragnora is number 2.
