Maybe this different Rite is an extremely complex process, and requires the supervision of a sorceror of extreme skill. And maybe the last good enough sorceror was Atar Starstrider, who Zirix descends from.
It would also explain the name “Scion”, as their origins mean they would be strongly associated with Vetruvian royalty.

Well we got new lore this month so i thought it would be a good idea to revive this thread. So now we know that the vetruvian wars were asteria vs vetruvian (at least the first one) and we have a source of animosity between the factions, we also know that the vetruvians have emotions so theirs that.

I think it’s Mogwai. He’s a got a stick like him and travels all around the world, which was what L’Kian asked him to do.
Mogwai has a Naginata/halberd though, not a simple stick. The 3 people from the wallpaper also don’t look like they are the same person, different physique and hairstyle, dfferent walking canes.
