LF suggestions in a Kaleos Deck

Hello! Old lurker and Duelyst player, I have recently made this deck, and it carried me up to rank 6. It had it share of successes, but also it share of defeats, and I’d like suggestions to tweak/optimize the deck.

It seems decent, i wouldn’t change it.
However - jaguar decks are hard to pilot.
@kingw will be more of a help here

I would swap fw magi over onyx Jaguar, because you have a lot of cheap spells and you also have scroll bandit and oni.

this is my current jaguar deck, could probably use some tweaks, currently on a 22 winstreak as i am a returning player this got me from silver to diamond.

as far as my suggestions, from my experience i would probably remove inner focus, used it in an earlier version but quickly removed it as i would rather drop another minion to develop a board then burn my hand on inner focus.

(which now also costs 1 mana, which means that if you use it you wont be able to play your higher cost minions)

thunderhorn just reks stuff, and its harder for your opponent to play around it when you have juxta, if it grows with jaguar its just disgusting

Kaleos is a lot harder to play than Reva, but definitely a lot more rewarding.

Only downside to playing a deck with backstab units, is that the opponent can place their back against the wall. Opponents can also use the paddo transformation to protect their backs as well. So use the spell wisely.

I Use sunsteel a lot because I feel the forcefield makes it a lot harder to remove off the field giving yourself a chance to take the board back or end the game.

Healing+Lantern fox is pretty op if you manage to get 3/4 Pheonix fires out of it.

Spiral technique will surprisingly clutch a ton of your games. all you need is 1.

Emp is meh, but you can always replace EMP with another card.

Geomancer is good if you had a bad start and you can create distance to spam pheonix fires.

Ki beholder to stop Pets and Other units that you dont want to reach you or your units.

This deck help me get to rank 2. Sometimes I replace the healer with flameblood warlock.

That list is just better with Reva. You play Kaleos to abuse Flamewreath, Painter, Tahr, and Thunderhorn.

Maybe that’s why Kaleos is harder.

Not really. His list in specific works fine with Kaleos because Sunsteel, EMP, Zendo, Ki Beholder, and backstab units are way more abusable with Blink. Being able to manipulate the positioning of those units is stronger than people realize (and one of the essences of building proper Kaleos decks)

Now the deck in question could stand for improvement, but in terms of utilizing Kaleos’ BBS it is fine.

Source: Played plenty of Kaleos before Flamewreath, Wild Tahr, and Thunderhorn came out.

You can try out my list, it aims to utilizing Kaleos BBS.
I played only songhai class since i started duelyst, i’m just a decent player, don’t take my advise from my list fully. I would suggest taking away bear seal from your list since your already running painter, there are very rare card that needs heavy removal like bear, normally Phoenix fire is enough.
My old list from 4 patches ago was still running inner focus before it’s nerf, however at the moment, IF doesn’t have that much of an impact anymore after the nerf. It’s still good but not as good as before.

This is a midrange tempo list, build to win games around 7 or 8 mana. if any games goes late, your screwed. if you dont have board advantage by 7 or 8 mana, yer screwed. Early game of this deck aims to flood the board while effectively clearing your enemies board with Back stabs.

power plays normally happen on turn 2 or 5 depending on situation. Example, Flamewreath + heropower could deal 2aoe dmg, or using backstab cards effectively at turn 2 with juxtaposition to contest mana tile.

Eternity Painter act as a good removal tool and act as a body on the board while u fish for lethal on the next turn.

i once lost my whole board during late game but still manage to win the game by keeping zendo alive for 1 turn, juguar the next and (Blink, mist dragon seal/juxtaposition)ramp zendo up and kill the enemy general.

Edited: Kaido could be swap out for healing mystic but i rather include it for the killing edge cycle. Sunsteel or Thunderhorn could be added too but i prefer spelljammer(draw option) & Flamewreath (instant 2/more Dmg Aoe). Sunsteel & Thunderhorn is too proactive, it lacks immediate impact.
