Keyword idea: Overkill

Just a thought that came up, but could be fun.

Keyword: Owerkill
Description: when this minion kills a minion, any exscess damage is split equaly among all enemies.
Note: if the damage can’t be split equal, it is split randomly.

Explanation: 3/1 minion with Overkill fights a 1/1 wraithling, he needa only 1 damage to kill him so the excess damage is 2. If opponent has no other minions, he takes 2 damage, if he has 1 minion, both him and that minion take 1 damage and if opponent has 3 or more minions, 2 random targets will take 1 damage. If for instance the excess damage was 4 and opponent had 2 minions, he and 2 minions would take 1 damage and 1 remaining damage would be delt to a random enemy.

Minion examples:
Sentiexplosion
2 mana 3/1
Overkill

[cool name] the Butcher
4 mana 6/3
Overkill

Lavamade Naga
4 mana 3/3
OG: deal 2 damage to all nearby creatures, Overkill

Pyrotechnician
5 mana 5/2
Dying wish: deal 3 damage to all enemies, Overkill

I was interested in the prospect when I saw the name, but I think a more logical and fair way for it to work would be to have any excess damage be dealt to the general.

Or to nearby minions, which also makes more sense thematically

Or hit a minion directly behind it… like battlefury cleave

I’m not sure about this. It seems like this keyword defeats the purpose of efficient trading. If I run my Saberspine Tiger into a Heartseeker, I expect to get value from my minion. Instead, I just take more Overkill damage.

I would never play 1-health minions again.

I don’t think any overkill minions should have rush…

These sound like aoe. These sound like they belong to Vanar. Cool name sounds like a great minion.

Only one of these are false

I guess it would require a lot of testing. Aoe does sound like it would fit thematically. The idea is that the minions have much attack but low health, however they are sure to deal all of that damage. The effect could simply be counter-played with forcefield minions and removal
