I’ve been having fun in Songhai using a janky 3 card one sided boardwipe, Deathstrike Seal + Battle Paddo + Inner Focus or Gotatsu. I’ve been wondering if the other factions had a similar 2 or 3 card way of killing everything? Sure, Plasma Storm, Decimate and so on exists but is there unreliable jank in other factions that sit in your hand for 5 turns with big impact before you can use it? What about non-boardwipe jank?
Well if we are only talking jank AOE here are a couple:
As for non board wipe jank, your going to have to be more specific. There are sooo many crazy gimick decks. But some of the most classic are the Dance of Memes variations:
Metamorphosis + Krater (+Flash)
Pandamonium + Ghost Lightning X2
Pandamonium + buffed Ghost Lightning
you guys forgot the classic enfeeble+Skorn/Snowstorm boardwipe. its not by definition janky, but as a two-part combo you sometimes have to wait all game to assemble it.
I guess Aspect of Shimzar/Thunderhorn goes in here to.
aspect /Thundere is no jank… its a dream we all lived that got killed before the Wanderernation Attacked.
Echoing Shrek + Skorn/Breath for hate against teh smol ones
Well prenerf 3 mana enfeeble + aoe was brutal and was no jank, and thus why I brought up aspect/thunder.
Post nerf Enfeeble/Skorn and Thunder/Aspect have moved into jank territory.
Circle of Dessication is a one card janky boardclear.
Happy Anniversary of the day you joined the forum!
The Resonance Scythe board-clear can be done on a higher number
of potential targets using Concealing Shroud and Winterblade (instead
of Permafrost and Iceshatter Gauntlet) to stun everything you hit and
avoid damage (as made famous(?) by Zohan).
Edit: This version is limited to minions with 5 or less health.
That is pretty neat. I tend to forget Winterblade even exists. Given you need to actually be able to kill the units with that combo rather then just ensure they are stunned. But certainly better versus a large swarm of small bodies.
Now what would be super cool is if Winterblade/Gauntlet worked together but I do not think they do.
Interactions between Winterblade and Gauntlet are interesting if not confusing.
If you equip Gauntlet + Winterblade in that order you will you will stun minions but not insta-kill anything unless it was already stunned before you attacked.
However, if you equip Gauntlet after Winterblade you will auto destroy any minion you attack (unless said minion would receive 0 damage via Forcefield, Scion’s 2nd wish ect.), but you will still get counterattacked unless the target was already stunned.
For bigger minions you have stun, Aspect of Bear and Cubs.
This video shows how to do that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FfRbXI4kmM
Or another hilarious one: https://youtu.be/zvr3IWiJh_A
And for the latter your equip extra Resonance to wipe anything and everything that isn’t a General on the board, I assume?
Almost, you need to add Scythe and Concealing Shroud if you want to do a perfect boardclear. Without Shroud you can only kill three minions before your artifacts break.
Very surprising. I would’ve assumed that Gauntlet’s effect is checked
when entering the attack command, making the play order irrelevant.
