Is vanar and abyssian cancer?

Hello guys, i dont know if it is the right place to say this but i just want to get this out of my chest, sorry if it sounds meaningless.

So today i just played some magmar player who went crazy after i played 2 mechazor that i got from nightmare operant:

He then added me as a friend just to say that people who main vanar and abyssian are cancer, i thought he was saying it as a joke but then says that he hopes that i get killed and told me not to take it personally. i told him that it was the rng, then he proceeds to unfriend me.

I dont really know about vanar, but is nightmare operant deserves the hate? i think rng based cards are fair. i also understand the frustation playing against 2 mechazor, but i dont get why you would get so upset about it.

This is my first time getting this kind of situation in a game, so im not letting in that negativity to my head, but i want to play duelyst free of people like this guy, so i dont know, maybe a report player feature would be nice (i dont know if its already implemented). anyways sorry if this doesnt belong in this site, good day to you all and stay hate free. also vanar and abyssian main, beware of this guy and his kinds.

All who hate vanar have PABSD and all who hate abyss need to git gud.

Overall he needs to be reported as toxic players need to begone.

Sadly, there is no game free of this behavior…because the world is not free of this type of person. You can rest assured that this is not a common occurrence in Duelyst, but it is still a possibility. I hope you continue to meet nice and cooperative players in the future.

how do i report a player? i see there is a customer support button, is that the one? he unfriended me before i get any chance to settle things with him as i didnt want to end it like that.

I am sure some people will tell me it is wrong to think this and that I am making it worse, but I would love to meet these kind of players in game just so I can ruin their little facade of feeling superior because every faction they don’t play is cancer and their faction is like Jesus and apostles co. incarnate.

Also, because I am an amazingly cruel person and want to troll, but I can only troll those who troll first.

OP, I hope you don’t take what happened too seriously.

I’m sorry for your encounter, if it can be of support I also met somebody like that once.
We never know who’s behind the keyboard, what goes in their mind, how old are they, how much they speak English, so take it easy, report the person (possibly sending attached screenshots of the chat) and continue enjoying the game :wink: .

EDIT-> About the report: the screenshot would be ideal because it’s the proof of misbehave, but you may try mentioning the name of the player and at what time you had the match approximately…

Haha, dont worry, immature people like him dont bother me. Should i post his name so you can troll him? I dont think its a good ethic to post people’s name tho, but i kinda want to know :grin:

Alright, i reported him, explained it as best as i could. I hope they do something about this. Thanks guys for being great players and good community. Good luck to you all.

Now this might be controversial, but I rather have them play. Reason why is because it makes for some fine trolling grounds. Have you ever played aginst someone who just happened to have completely locked you down with the perfect board and lethal next turn but then you top deck the only card that could have made a difference, I have? And the best emote for those situations is Argeon laugh. Normally, I would feel bad for spamming that to anyone on here because its mean, but toxic players are fair game.

And if they decide to message you in game, simply type “its not my fault ur such a bad player, call your mom, maybe she can play better” and then unfriend.

Besides, the more toxic players we have (to an extent), the higher the probability of there being an informal blacklist with the names of those players so the more trolly members of this community know who to target.

Please when doing an insult or joke try to avoid ones about someone’s mum (or whatever relative). That someone might not have a mum and could be a pretty insensitive thing to say.

Ideally a toxic person will mature and become a good person.

Got lucky with 2 mechazor. Things happen when RNG is involved.
Late game they can still be dealt with for example EMP.
Early game you could have delay killing the operant and therefore delaying possible mechazor.
Its not like mechazor is invincible like gate…

  • I want to educate them hard (trolling mayyybe included)
  • I want to troll them hard (educating excluded)
  • I just want them to be as far away from me as possible (anti-matchmaking and no friend requests from ingame reported persons only after successful report)
