In the last two days I bought a pack of 10 orbs and then another pack of 40. In all of those orbs I got virtually none of the “big name” epics and legendaries I see in deck lists. I got the Vetruvian healer which is cool. But I mean… 250 cards and pretty much all of the purples and oranges were not things that people play.
Is this normal? I wanted to support the company because I love the game, and also get a bit of a head start in filling in my collection. But it just feels bad to spend a bunch of money and get random stuff that’s mostly not going to help me build a winning deck.
Maybe it’s just luck? I bought my son a 10-pack and he pulled a Silithar Elder, Makantor Warbeast, 2xDioltas and a prismatic legendary of another card. I’m glad he was lucky but maybe there’s a net sum of luck per family.
Anyway this is not a complaint, I don’t regret the purchase, and it’s really not a big deal for me, plus now I have lots of commons and rares to make decks with.
I guess I am just asking: is it normal to get a bunch of stuff you don’t want and then have to break it down to make what you do? Because everyone tells me “don’t DE anything when you’re new” but I can’t make a good deck from random cards scattered across all factions, especially when I never pull big names.
Thanks.
