The title says it all!
What is everyone’s opinion on the statement that Duelyst is A: Dead and B: Dying?
Is Duelyst dying? :(
I would say none however duelyst has still many things to improve first maybey add a casual mode since if you wanna test new decks risking your rank isnt the best option neither is playing vs bots or with friends not all have friends
.Thus maybey add some formats since the card choice is huge and many cards come down to personal preference. However overall i woudnt say its dying just needs more popularity
We need one of those “X days since last accident” work signs, but for the number of days since someone’s asked about the idea that duelyst is dying.
Old question, old answer. No.
See a lot of thread on Reddit saying its dying and a lot of people agreeing
I don’t think its dying or dead, but it just isn’t growing like it needs to right now. Most duelyst players are pretty dedicated to the game and will stick with it for the most part, its just the new players that the game needs. One person can’t build an entire empire.
Personally i think the game lost a lot of players within the last year, especially AB probably took it’s toll on the playerbase. But there are still more than enough people around so the game isn’t dead yet and whether it’s going to die or not depends on the devs and Bandai. The first step is taken already, with UP they created a fun and diverse meta. Now they just have to let people know about it.
Duelyst isn’t dying and in contrary to reports dating at least since 09 of 2016 it seems healthy enough.
Of course, it seems to not be massively growing either, which is a pity and a bit unexpected since that should have been the main bonus from partnering with BN, but this feeling is based on forum activity and as such is a bit of an indication but definitely not very precise.
Yes. Duelyst is dying. And so are you. Me. Everybody that you know. Everybody that you love. Every breath takes us one step closer to death. Every day pushes Duelyst one step closer to oblivion. Enjoy it while it lasts. Nothing is forever. Only death remains.
There was also the region banning. With a number of players kicked out, it will take time to somehow make up for those numbers.
Honestly, i dont care anymore.
I’ll play as long as duelyst still up.
My last hope is mobile version will be released soon.
It is apocalypse when you see no replay matches in bronze, lol.
This is the most philosophical thing I ever read, bravo bravo.

Oh yeah, you sure may cheek Starcraft 2 and Overwatch reddits too. Those games are dying since the day they leave.
This question comes up on a regular basis. Duelyst is not dead and far from dying, based on my feeling as a veteran player. I recall that when I started playing people were saying the same things and I still have no problem finding players on a regular basis.
A good question instead is whether the game is growing as expected or not. If the game doesn’t inject new players on a regular basis, it is going to die in a not so next future. I was honestly expecting to see more work by BN, but maybe it’s under the curtains? Mobile release can definitely help
No one will say it but let’s put it this way.
Duelyst lost about 2000 players on steam in the last year.
Matching time is higher now then it was a year ago/two years ago.
Etc…
The game has no mobile ver.
No marketing.
Devs are not in it with everyone as it use to be.
No needed buffs/nerfs.
While every other game is either growing or having it.
So yes, if things wouldn’t get fixed duelyst will die.
I give it a year to disappear completely
Hearing everybody talk about how duelyst is gonna die makes me depressed. Can’t imagine having to give up all the gold, spirit, cards, wins, and experience. Maybe I should start playing a new game right now, does anybody know of any good online free (F2P) TCG’s?
I see a lot of people saying a lot of things on Reddit.

I think Duelyst is at a healthy spot at the moment, yet I wouldn’t necessarily say that they are growing either. Duelyst is an interesting game in the sense that it has many unique attributes to it compared to other CCGs on the market (including hand size, the replace mechanic, how they balance P1 vs P2 starting, and art direction), yet I think that the underlying issue is that the game can feel a bit unpolished (although not in a similar fashion compared to games like Shardbound). Personally, I think that all the game needs is a few more game modes (like the reintroduction of daily puzzles, more co-op/friend features, greater daily challenge diversity), the release of mobile version (which I believe will really compliment the game’s art design), and then more advertising (through both commercials and tournaments) to begin growing its player base.
