Hello all,
This may be of little to no concern, but when perusing my collection I noticed several artifacts had curious and indecipherable pictographs on the very top, directly to the right of the cards’ cost in the small grayish trapezoid all cards have.
My findings include
List (because its rather long)
- Dawn’s Eye
- Gold Vitriol
- Crescent Spear
- Mask of Shadows
- Cyclone Mask
- Wildfire Ankh
- Thunderclap
- Hexblade
- Spinecleaver
- Soul Grimoire
- The Releaser
- Ghost Azalea
- Godhammer
- Iridium Scale
- Morin-Khur
- Iceshatter Gauntlet
- Coldbiter
- Winterblade
While they are all artifacts, I cannot seem to find any pattern as to which ones are included in this list and which are not. While none of these cards are commons, not all legendary, epic and/or rare artifacts are included either (Twin Fang, Regalia, Spectral Blade and White Asp, to name a few). Additionally, these markings are not unique to any particular set, as each expansion outside of Bloodborn (with only Autarch’s Gifts as an artifact) contain cards with these markings. They do not appear to be connected in any way to lore either, and each text consists of the exact same 10 characters, perfectly identical to the others.
Is it a sort of signature? Does it signify a connection between these artifacts? Why do only some have them? Is this phenomenon unique to my collection? Was it an unintentional mistake? Am I asking too many unnecessary questions?
Almost certainly.
But I still seek answers to this mystery!
Should anyone request screenshots of my findings, I would be happy to oblige, but hopefully those will not be necessary, as you too may see whether these glyph excerpts exist or not.
Lemme know if I missed any cards, artifact or otherwise, and if any connection or explanation can be provided to satisfy my curiosity!
