In face of inevitable defeat

really depends. if i have no way out and they have lethal on board, i just concede.
if my health is super duper low and i know ive lost, i may as well get a swing in.
if there is a chance i might live or win if the stars align. never surrender.
if i have real life things to do and they cant wait, just leave the game.

I have never conceded, and I will not uninstall this game just because I am tired of losing (it would be for other reasons).

All the other options I do about equally except closing the app outright.

Can I say multiple?

I try not to concede, given how I may very well be making the opponent’s life harder if they have the quest “Deal 150 damage to General.” but if the game left a bad taste in my mouth, I usually concede.

Depends on my opponent, if i know it’s a meta deck i’ll concede, if he use an unusual/creative deck i’ll go with well played and wait.

It’s usually a “Well Played” for me unless the game became very toxic, at which point it’s a good thing Lord Serpenti gave us the “Concede” button. If you see me using frustrated emotes, you found me at a time of massive tilt, and I am sorry.

I’ll do my best to make lethals as hard as possible to see if it’s impossible to prevent. Who knows, maybe my opponent will miss lethal. It’s happened for me before.

Most of the time I let games play out, but I emote concede if I make a stupid misplay, close the game if I see three Mechs drop in one turn, and if it’s up against DivBond Lyonar or Polarity Vanar and they set up OTK, I concede/quit riiiiiight before they can finish me (because they don’t deserve that satisfaction).

There should be a option where you aim for most possible minion kills (assassin) or general damage (ulti aggro).

Nice of you but unless your opponent is healing you in his turn to do more damage that is not necessary, if he concedes his remaining life will be counted towards the quest. This isn’t true for remaining minions though.

If the defeat is truly inevitable, I give them a well played and then concede, however if I am unsure of whether or not they can win, I let them play the entire turn, eve if durih it I realize the onevitability of defeat.

It really depends on my mood, but mostly I’ll let my opponent finish me.
2nd most often is suicide myself.

Depends on if it’s faie or not…

I’ll kill myself otherwise, but if it’s faie I’ll wait out the turn and then concede before they can kill me

Sure, you can elaborate in comment. But I basically ask the most common way that you take if you face inevitable defeat in the poll

Including uninstalling Duelyst? :fearful:

It’s nice to see players have very different ways to react to this, I guess this teaches us to be patient towards many behaviours we observe in game. I guess none here is intentionally rude when he loses…

Provided I lost as a natural outcome of the game, I patiently allow them to finish the game on their terms. It helps them finish any quests they have.

If I buffed their minion because I was a derptard, I suicide on that exact minion if possible.

Exactly what I thought!

If I see lethal on board and I can’t deal with the board state then I would suicide if I can, if I can’t Seppuku then I would concede - only in Srank though. In other divisions, I would let the game play out, hoping for a misplay. There have been instances where the opponent either missed an obvious lethal, or is intentionally being arrogant and left me alive, in that case I would replace if lethal isn’t in hand and if I still can’t find lethal and it’s blindingly obvious that I’ve lost, I would Seppuku.
