Insane, get 6 random vet cards and reduce their cost by 4… Guaranteed one or two if them will cost 0
Immortal Vanguard - Vetruvian - Monlithic Vision
it gives you 6 random vet cards then reduces their cost by 4
Which is vital, you cannot spend 9 mana and have no effect on the board. On average you should have 2-3 0 cost cards to play in the same turn.
Wait. I read it wrong. Is 4 less… ok looks like a fun card
Assuming the new expansion has similar card quality to the older expansions, we can get some statistics on what this can pull:
Toilet paper: 25% (generous estimation)
Bad: 22%
Medium: 19%
Good: 13%
Amazing: 19%
- There is about a 7% chance of getting at least one copy of any specific card when playing this. That included Monolithic Visions itself.
- There is a 0.002% chance of getting nothing at or below 0 mana from this, so you are almost guaranteed to have at least one playable card.
- with that said, there is a 61% chance that the playable cards that you do get are utter garbage.
Keep in mind that these stats will likely change if the new expansion either introduced great cards for Vetruvian, or utter garbage.
Also, in terms of meme value, Koan of Horns is far better than this. Sure you can meme with Monolithic visions, but can you meme with gorehorns? I thought not.
This is a fantastic meme, I’m gonna make a deck with 3 copies of this and spell reduction (manaforger and abjudicator), and then I’ll regret it
Oh wow, I like it!!
Well if to u have a empty hand this is great… 9 mana do I could undercost it with abjuni and forgers I guess but it doesn’t seem Playable as of right now.
Get a copy of Ghost Seraphim from a Vanar opponent with Superior Mirage, then play this for free!
This card looks disgusting in gauntlet… I now realise why it’s a legendary.
The more I think about this the more I’m wanting to try it (I do hate Vet ©, but Ciphyron bbs I like. Neutral Ciphyron?) One in the deck. 0 mana Entropic, 0mana flameblaze, 0mana conduit, 0 mana hex blade, 0mana wasteland wraith, 0mana falcius, heck maybe that siphon energy is useful. 1 mana boa tho thank goodness. I can see this possibly being something as that card for a possible answer or lethal theobule effect in the super late game. Definitely not a 3of in my eyes.
Oh boy, a great meme card. I dunno if I’ll use it though. This is card is weekend by the fact that Vetruvian cards frequently need other specific cards to be good (imagine getting obelysk spells without any obelysks in hand or deck).
I’m kinda getting worried about this set. So many niche cards and abilities. As much as I love silly cards and abilities, I feel duelyst needs more standard options to improve.
Either way, there’s still plenty of cards yet to be revealed. Here’s hoping the rest are less niche.
I think that was the case with UP. New mechanic and hype minions realeased, but a lot of standard cards got dropped too. Most of the non sentinels non legendaries here don’t see much non meme play, but other good stuff came out too that didnt get pre viewed https://news.duelyst.com/unearthed-prophecy-previews/
Oh man, time to get ready for them 4 mana reduced rae’s!
Thunderhorn’s a standard option
Thunderhorn also isn’t going to be released a second time so…
The idea is, the more generally efficient and usable cards they release, the less frequent each of them becomes.
This card… is aweful. If it were “replace all cards, they cost 4 less” I could see a point. Imagine, a hand full of 5 rae’s
but on the other hand
imagine a hand of 6 boneswarms
12 damage for free
On the other hand, imagine a 0-cost Falcius, 3 0-cost Hexblades and 2 4-cost Nosh-Rak’s.
If you survive the turn and can get near the enemy general that’s a sweet cool uncounterable 52 face damage.
My point being that of course one of the worst possibilities are going to suck.
It’s about the general usefulness, not edge cases.
Also, there might be hidden rules, like with Fog, Rawr, etc. (for example, maybe there can be no duplicates).
I took a little longer to type, but we’re basically saying the same.
I like my ‘on the other hand’ a bit better though
