I don’t think that will be that strong. It is different from Cryptographer and serves a different purpose. So it could see play in certain spell heavy decks.
My favourite opener with Vaath is Crypto to get a super early 3 attack. This is with that minion not possible.
On the other hand it offers better value in the late game because it is not OG.
I don’t think there is a deck which has room for both minions, they aren’t that strong on their own and decks are always pretty cramped.

With Faie: 8 dmg at 6 mana with 1 card (crypt) in hand.
Not the strongest burst in terms of damage, but incredibly strong for the cost of 1 card so early in game

In actuality though, interesting card. Keep in mind that these spells don’t trigger Blood Surge effects, so no Drogon shenanigans.
But there are plenty of possibilities. Swarm Lilitthe support. Ilena gets to add soft removal to her action bar. Awesome BBS spells could potentially get stacked XD
It will be fun to experiment with this for sure.

Or as P1 on T2 with a 3 drop. Usually there is no fighting before T2 anyways. Sometimes I decide to play a 4 drop and lose the bbs charge but that depends on board state and hand.

Yeah, I always questioned the validity of that statement that their games are lightning fast. One of the main reasons why I don’t do my dailies sometimes is because if I want to I have to dedicate minimum 2 hours of my time just to get the 50 gold. And that’s if every game only goes to 9 mana exactly.
i think, emphasys on think, it is because of overgoing to mobile platform, games get made shorter, because many mobile players cannot play for 20 minutes control warrior flashbacks

Agreed. I don’t believe this will replace Crypto at all due to the difference in mana cost and ability.
Either decks will play this later game or the 3-drop slot will be too competitive and they will play Crypto. Crypto might also be played simply because it can be played first turn regardless.
Definitely a strong card though. Arcanyst decks might have a lot of fun with this. Vaath and Lilithe Swarm could also become a more significant threat with it. Mantrahai goes without saying.
