Apparently, quite a few people even in non-mech decks. Although I only found out it could get Mechaz0r a couple months ago. If I knew earlier I might have played it as well.

I guess not if there are other mechs coming which progress the build.
I mean, Night Watcher is straight up better if you don’t need the build progressing.
I guess I am a tad disappointed it now has identical stats to it.
Seems pretty good! This makes Mech less obnoxious when rushing you down and not utterly hopeless when removed. I’m actually slightly tempted to try playing it…

I share your feeling, but it really depends on the full set of cards. Maybe we are seeing mechs which boost other mechs, which would make the card viable in a dedicated deck.
Honesty, Mechaz0r is utter trash, the support has to be absurdly strong or be able to give Mechaz0r his old effect back and to add insult to injury they weakened his stats. Also poor ferocca.
This is a welcome change to mechs, imo. The only reason why they were ever an issue was due to be untargetable by spell removal which meant you needed a big beefy minion to find its way to the opposite side of the board or kill your opponent in two turns to win.
With Mechaz0r now capable of being removed by targeting spells, he’s still powerful (especially since there are now going to be more mechs) but not immediately game winning.
This is clearly fake. The card is named MECHAZ0R! Not MECHAZ0R or The big Mech itself. Real devs would never make this mistake imo

I never liked Mech and all in all this is a buff to Mech-Decks. So I don’t like the changes.
If there’s really more support coming (which I don’t hope) we’ll probably have a Songhai-Mech-Meta.
For me that’s the worst that can happen.

Buff or not, this makes mech more flavorful. instead of an “ugh not this shit again”, and you know all to well how it’s going to go down, it’ll be annoying in an all new interesting way. mechazor’s targetable now! we can finally tell it to go fuck itself with its own, thick, long cannon(tho technically we always could have done that with sunset paragon but you know what i mean)
This… is actually a quality of life change. Did Counterplay actually play their game? :o Changing mech decks from a tempo deck that tries to cheese out a difficult-to-handle minion before tools which teal with it come online- to midrangey decks that want redundant ETBs to create card advantage through a free fatty will definitely make Mech matchups more fair.
