Hi, this card is stupid, 3 damage to enemy gen, 3 heal to general and can be summoned EVERY turn, so, if you have 3 desolators you should run and spam that card to insta win.
FFS, is there any counter to this card other than dispelling it?
Note: On top of that, they could summon it and sacrifice him in the same turn? it is just broken as hell.

Desolator late game is slow compare to other threats, either transfom or rush cass face.

You can play ciphyron and steal it. You can build a board that is strong enough to defeat a 3/1 and smack ur opponent. You can run healing minions such as azure herald and mystic, if your faction has healing spells you can also run those.

The above Tec Spikes answer is one people often forget about but is often only possible with Magmar or Starhorn. Otherwise Transform and dispel are both pretty perfect answers and Deso is a worthy target. Turns a powerful re-usable 4-drop into a significant loss of tempo.
Desolator is only strong because we aren’t in a dispel heavy meta rn. Plenty of ways to handle the card, it’s really only strong lategame, and even then it’s often not enough.
Put a 12/12, spell targeting immune minion in their face and laugh when you life coil + divine bond it the next turn
I agree, removing 4 health to opponent and gaining 5 health, all that for 1 mana, it’s way too much.

He was further exaggerating OP’s mistake that Desolator cheaply steals 3hp.
The best counter to Desolator is having some minions on the board. That thing costs 4 mana. Unless it’s in the 8-9 mana turns playing it takes up most of your turn. 4 Health swing doesn’t look that great when there is 6-8 damage worth of minions in your face waiting to punch you. Deso himself doesn’t really help with that as he will just get pinged most of the time.
Superior Mirage is also a great answer, you can literally turn their wincon against them.
