How are you supposed to beat Wall Faie?
I don’t have a specific faction or deck that I play all the time. I switch around, but I’ve mostly been using the meta decks from Bagoum and recently have been experimenting with the new generals. I probably play Vanar and Magmar the least atm.
Are you talking about Bagoum’s budget decks or something else? Budget and meta are two very different things. If you play them the least, what factions do you like to play the most?
Meta…so not the budget decks. I probably play Vet, Songhai, and Abyssian the most.
As vet you could look to incorporate Azure Summoning with Skywing and Dragonlarks. Golem Vet would also probably work well.
You could use the aggro reva, though you may want to speed it up further by removing sorjourners and adding something like primus fists.
I would also think that aggro cassyva would naturally beat it, though phantasm isn’t as good anymore. (Still good, just not as much now)
If you find so many Wall Faie on ladder, consider including Skorns in your decks. It’s a solid card overall and it’s excellent to remove walls. Also Lightbenders work wonder against Luminous Charge.
When playing Abyssian, keep your Punishes for Seraphim, because just moving them away with Lure is ineffective. With Songhai, the best strategy is just killing Faie before it creates you many troubles, so spell builds would be okay. I can’t comment about Vet, never played them.
As a Vet main, I recommend Spinecleaver Sajj. Possibly with some Obelysks thrown in. Vanar has very little healing, so they end up bleeding out faster than most.
Do not follow this advice. It works against Faie, but not much else. You will die on ladder.
Lyonar can reasonably run Thunderhorn, Aegis Barrier, Sun Bloom, Holy Immolation, Tempest and Aperion’s Claim to try and deal with it as well. Until the meta moves on or Flawless only applies to non-Token minions we probably just need to suffer through it.
For Vet: Zephyr and Stars’ Fury?
Beating Wall Faie is quite dependent on their draw and what deck you play.
If they have a good draw with early ramp, some walls, AOE and finishing combo and you have a board focused midrange deck then there is very little you can do without having tech cards. On the other hand, if you play stuff like 8 gates, Deci/spikes or burn Abyssian you won’t have much trouble against them. Also, if they don’t draw very well you can easily beat them with a board focused deck without needing tech.
Outside of trying to minimize Thunderhorn + Aspect damage to your board and staying away from walls as much as possible to avoid Flawless damage there isn’t much you can do playing wise. At the end of the day it just boils down to having more threats then they can remove and beat them down with it asap.
The matchup is mostly decided on luck and matchup unfortunately. If you struggle with them i would recommend putting some Lightbenders/EMPs into your decks. Both are good cards individually and excellent against wall Vanar.
If it doesn’t break your own deck strategy, give a try to Magesworn, it switches off Seraphim and helps versus rampant cancerous Shidai

I disagree. My favorite is to play magesworn, then trap faie in a corner surrounded by sunsteels. She becomes helpless, and concedes. No need to go after life.
In all seriousness though, wall vanar is the deck of the current meta but it has lots of counters. Lightbender and or EMP go a really long way to shutting down the deck, as does any aggressive gameplan. Its always good to tech aoe and it also does well vs them. And the aforementioned magesworn if your deck can support it. But without knowing what deck you want to beat them with I cant say to much more.

It works for me, at least. Maybe my playstyle is that unpredictable, maybe my opponents are too prepared for meta decks and have no idea what’s going on when I whip out the Cleaver, maybe people assume artifacts are dead. I dunno, man/woman/cactus.
