Im realy looking forward the return of gauntlet…but i ask you:isnt faie the best general for gauntlet with her undercosted removal and BBs which is just great if your opponent cant finish you off early on?
I hope not…that im missing something here…vanar is already annoying enough on the ladder
Gauntlet:vanar best faction?
If we’re talking about generals, without taking into consideration the faction cards; reva is the best general. Faie has a good bloodborne for gauntlet, though people overestimate them (so you will see quite a few, but there’s a good chance you can beat them). Lyonar has fantastic cards and decent BBS with roar, so they’re what most people will go with, not vanar.

If I had to rate the generals for gauntlet then I think it would go something like this:
Reva
Faie
Argeon
Vaath
Sajj
Zirix
Kara
Cassyva
Starhorn
Ziran
Lilithe
Kaleos
Of course it depends on the deck you have which general you should pick, but this is just what I think they are like in general. This list also has my own biases in it, for example I am pretty good with vet, but absolute trash with abyss so that puts a spin on it too.

I’m surprised to see that you consider Sajj better than Cassyva in Gauntlet, I was expecting the “ping” to be invaluable there. Can you comment on that?
I’m more surprised Lilith being rated so low.
Generally speaking, Saji’s ability to remove bigger threats ends up better than Cass’s ability to ping or pick off 1 health minions. Plus, Saji tends do better with the majority of Vetruvian Cards than Cass does with Abyssian cards.
The ping is definately useful, hence why it is above lilithe, but being able to trade with your general so well, especially with stuff like falcius and zephyr, not to mention all of the great artifacts vet has, is just so much better, to the point where I put her above zirix. Also a lot of the cards in abbys have no synergy together, so I struggle to draft for them, but that may just be me.

Faie is one of the top generals in gauntlet.
But she is more balanced and more fun to play against.
Mecha and arcanyst aren’t as powerfull and her removal leaves you either stuff on board or in hand.
That matters in gauntlet!
Her BBS is still working though, you better finish her off in time 
Where does Kaleos shine? I honestly enjoy him the most, but I don’t feel his BBS gives him any early advantage or late play. It’s possible to make plays with it, but there’s so much removal that to actually move something is more of a godsend and its not generally a huge board swing it some kind of great play. With Gauntlet returning I was hoping to try some Kaleos bc they say minions stick better in gauntlet, but here it seems he’s still not shining
Honestly I think that Kaleos doesn’t shine basically ever, he is worse in pretty much exactly every way (except for the Cass matchup, and even then it is close) when compared to Reva in gauntlet, play him if you want, but it is just a handicap.
