Fix moonlit basilysk

I just loose a game because my ritual banishing didnt kill moonlit basilysk. One year, one fcking is passed since the release of sentinels and still this bullshit bugs are around?
Im seriously salty.

it is not a bug -

you cast a spell --> the santinel dies, but it transforms due to the spell being cast --> moonlit.

just like others, you cant kill them by using the trigger.
in short- you can’t kill a sentinel when triggering it.

This makes no sense. If the sentinel die then it shoul be dead, how can it transform and come back? I remember a similar interaction with lavaslasher on bound tormentor and they fix it. This is basically the same bug

I totally agree. It is so annoying when sentinels resurrect themselves. I would understand if Moonlit Basilysk survives a PF, (because it gains +2 health), but surviving a PF and getting back to full 5 health is ridiculously OP. Come to think of it, Moonlit Basilysk is ridiculously OP…

The thing is the transform should trigger before any spell effect. Is it really that hard to make this? After one year…

but the effect is the spell, once the outcome of the spell hits - this is when the transformation occurs.
plus - moonlit is so not op, given the vast removal in the game, there’s no actual way to keep moonlit on board if the deck is decent.

Basilysk is far from op, if you think that you really need to get good.

No the transformation should happen when I cast the spell, not when the spell actually does something. Spell cast->transformation->spell effect. This should be theproper interaction

this is a great question though.

when does the effect should take place.
the devs decided after hit, and this is what we’ll go with.

Right now the transformation basically nullify completely the spell and this is not what sentinel (as a word) is suppose to do. That’s my thoughts

The devs didn’t decide anything. This is a obvious bug that simply hasn’t been fixed due to frailties in their code. Ultimately this interaction comes up so little it’s not worth breaking the game to attempt to fix it.

It should be tidied up to be consistent with all spell effects. If you cast Cass’ bbs the transformed sentinel will take the 1 damage so Punish can still be used to kill it.

In my opinion, any card that requires dispel or a “hard” removal is OP. I am “good” enough to be able to cast Blood of Air, if that is what you mean, but that does not make this card any less OP. Same with Aymara Healer and Desolator… dispel or die.

sorry man, but this card is NOT op.
if any card that requires hard removal is op so the game is hella broken.

hard removal is part of the game, wanna know what op means? cards that even conventional hard removal can’t drop like vault.
by good flygon meant - learn how to play around them.

Congratulations, you will now become a meme in this community.

Don’t cast spells, right? That’s easy enough until you find yourself playing an Arcanyst or Buff Magmar deck. :frowning:

AWESOME! But… why?

No, just leaen how to manage, i take iy you play vet then you basically minion based to start with but if you want you have wither and the 4 mana punish.
You got alot of options.

That was the reason behind santinels, you get you thinking about your playstyle and to be able to change it accordingly.

It’s the most stupid thing to say in any card game.

If you don’t want to get bullied I reccomend not saying it.

Trial card effects?
