Chrome is everyone’s favourite browser, it has a 60%+ market share on desktop compared to less than 15% for Firefox. For a long while, Firefox lagged behind, it was notably slower.
Not any more. Firefox 57 was released yesterday and it is a significant improvement. The difference between Firefox 56 and 57 is night and day. It matches Chrome in Javascript performance, which I know is important to Duelyst. Further GPU acceleration is coming in 2018.
If Duelyst is coded in common web standards, and not using custom elements tailored for Google Chrome, support for other browsers is really low hanging fruit. (Microsoft Edge is no longer garbage either)
