So you still keep telling me if I have no answer to something its a problem of my deck. Yet, interestingly enough , I do have an answer in my deck, just not in my hand. Which is exactly what I have been trying to say about 5 times now, yet every time it gets ignored. I never said Nimbus or something else was OP. I said it promoted randomness since you need to have an answer in your HAND, NOT IN YOUR DECK, and you don’t draw your deck by turn three (really hope caps at least help you see and read this and thus stop make you stop bothering with my deck).
Feedback from a new to Duelyst longtime T/CCG Player
Your deck is relevant because, not to sound condescending but, your hand pretty much always contains only cards from your deck. It’s less useful to say “luck” or “randomness” than it is to say “probability”. Deck building (and replacing) is how you manage that probability, so if you’re consistently finding yourself without answers in your hand, it’s likely a problem with your deck.
I have a similar issue. Today I played a card but then he played another card and I didn’t have a card to counter his card so I lost. Can someone please fix this game???
Yes my hand contains cards from my deck, yet as I have about four times said now not ALL cards from my deck. Thus if an opening requires me to have certain cards in MY HAND it promotes randomness since even if i have them in my deck, there is no way to ensure I have them in my Hand, and yet when I don’t - I lose , but when I do - I don’t win but I just handle it and get in an even situation. That doesn’t seem fair, logical, and it makes no sense to ME, thus I give my feedback.
Then I don’t really know what you want. Solving problems with the tools you have is half the game. The other half is setting up problems your opponent can’t solve.
Well I guess SOME intelligence is required to grasp my line of thought. I want openings that win unless your opponent has specific cards in his hand changed so that they can be handled without a PERFECT answer in your hand. If that is too hard for you to grasp I can’t really clarify it any more.
It’s not too hard to grasp, you’re just wrong. I don’t even know your faction - but repulsor beast, lightbender, and shroud all stop it. Neutral cards. Not to mention we’ve all told you that you could have had an opening of your own that - you know - had minions that you played that do things.
And yes, my first deck DID have all three of those in it, along with other answers. The entire idea of needing ‘perfect’ answers is just silly and you’re grasping at straws.
And this thread of people telling you there ARE answers. Finding those answers is half the game. I’d say anything that isn’t an otk can be answered. I don’t want to tell you to git gud, but git gud.
Lol, I only started playing this because of the pixel art
I think this game shines when you get some friends and you pit custom decks against each other. Otherwise you’re just facing the same effing decks over and over in Ladder. Gauntlet is nice because it’s random, keeps your brain juices working.
For the last time cause i am really tired of this : there are answers,>>>>> but if you do not draw them you lose to some openings<<<<<<, please if you do post again try to address this part of my post because all of you seem to have completely missed it about five times now.
I’ve addressed it multiple times: deck building, replacement, positioning, let’s throw in card advantage. No, you won’t have an answer 100% of the time, but that’s the game. If it bothers you that much, play 4-5 games per session. It makes the worst losses stick out more. Or just stick to the ai.
We haven’t missed a thing, you’re ignoring our answers. I don’t know what faction you’re even playing, but I just listed THREE different answers that are common to exist in the SAME deck. You don’t need an EXACT card. Hell, you could just IGNORE the nimbus and play something that’s generally GOOD and try to race the nimbus damage output because nimbus is a slow win condition.
You have completely ignored anything that goes against your conclusion that you came to yourself. You have vastly smaller knowledge of the game compared to the posters here and when given advice you refuse to take it and want the entire game to change because you can’t learn how to play around and deal with threats.
And before you go on ANOTHER tangent about ‘but what if I don’t have that card in my hand’: If you are playing cards in your deck that don’t do anything your deck IS bad. You run answers and you run threats. If they play a threat you can’t answer you just play a threat to match theirs. If your cards in your deck don’t do either of those things they effectively don’t do ANYTHING and your deck is lacking.
But of course you have not, you are all PERFECT, you can not miss anything, nor make a mistake, your opinion is always true, everyone else’s is always false. You don’t even need arguments to prove it, just stating that I lack sufficient game knowledge without any proof is enough. Of course you might sometimes on purpose choose to ignore half of a post, actually you might even do that with each of mine, but hey, what does it matter you are never wrong anyways and everyone has to run answers to everything in his deck and draw them all by turn 3 or he is just not as skilled and competent as you lot. (or at least run equal treats, like 0/12 that summons two 2/2 each turn, or if you don’t have that you can back out but AT THE SAME TIME contest the mana tiles so the Nimbus doesn’t get summoned next turn, of course if you can’t do both of those things then you are obviously not competent enough).
Locking this thread, its just going in circles and degrading into insults.
