Favorite card and why?

I certainly have a favorite so I was wondering if anyone else does, on top of that I also have some other questions to go along with my inquiry.

What is your favorite card and why?

Do you run it and why?

What could be done to support it better?(if support doesn’t already exist for it)

My favorite card in the game is black locust, I love everything about this card and would be one of the only cards I would want prismatics of…if it was viable at all. It has a hilarious effect, looks cool as hell and is one of the funniest card to win the game with. I don’t run it in any of my decks because it is destroy immediately a solid 98% of the time. I wish it got a little more support or they altered its stats to be 2/3 at least, though to be honest that might be a little op. Maybe they could even make a support that protects flyers for a turn or something.

I’ll say Chrysalis burst.

4 mana. 4 random minions. Puts a lot of pressure on the opponent and can be devastating if you use it on your first (With flash reincarnation) or second turn. Also very fun.

Flash reincarnation doesn’t work on spells silly =p

Player 2 :
-Use FR on a 2 mana minion
-Drop the minion on the mana spring

  • You have 4 mana and you use chrysalis burst on your first turn

If they don’t have ghost lightning or tempest they usually concede :sunglasses:

My favorite is Prismatic illusionist, which I usually use in swarm oasis Vetruvian. It has great synergy with Zirix’s BBS, especially with a portal guardian on the field. The tokens can be a bit weak, but overall great card with great stranger synergy :smiley:

Favorite card would be Makantot Warbeast it’s just a 6 mana wrecking ball that almost always gets value plus he’s our lord and savior

+1 for Bounded Lifeforce. Defs my favorite card, imo hugely underrated b/c people don’t use it right. With Vaath’s bbs it can become even more than 10 damage in a turn-- I don’t understand how getting 11-12 burst damage in a turn isn’t a great finisher. I use this card all the time in my magmar deck, which I posted elsewhere.

As far as better supporting Bounded Lifeforce, any kind of overheal or defensive magmar artifact would be great. When not used as a finisher, Bounded Lifeforce is very risky, rarely the right play.

It’d have to be shadow nova. I absolutely love the concept of controlling the board through shadow creep tile, plus the name “shadow nova” sounds so damn cool. As it is now, however, it is mostly used as a finisher rather than a board control tactic because of scaling tile damage and its high mana cost, and this creates this sort of black-and-white situation of “did I draw shadow nova or not” that decides games. I’m looking forward to the expansion and its shadow creep changes, which hopefully let Cass control the board through rapid creep generation and emphasize more tactical gameplay.

I really like Healing Mystic. A fine turn 1 play with added heal opponent BM. Allows you to heal yourself out of lethal range that your opponent so precariously set up. Best of all, can be used to heal your damaged minions so they can live on to fight another day!

My favorite card is also Chrysalis burst but for different reasons. For me Chrysalis burst is awesome in terms of flavor because in nature it is exactly how it works: the mother spread a bunch of eggs , among those only a few will make their way through the dangers of wild life to become grown up adults able to defend themselves. Also I like the way the card is not completely random, among the 4 eggs there is always a common, a rare, an epic and a legendary. This fact alone stabilize a lot the average power-level of minions you will get.

Unfortunately I had very few occasions to play the card since it is not competitive enough for S-rank ); . Hopefully it will be back for Shim’zar!
