One of my friends mentioned that when he ran out of cards, it does damage to his general, like hearthstone. But does it work exactly like hearthstone? I haven’t seen this first hand so like anyone that knows how this works, please explain to me.
Fatigue in Duelyst?
I believe its the same. Where you run out of cards and then you take damage for every time you fail to draw a card from the deck when you have to. Starting from taking 1 damage the first time, 2 the second time etc. Although its rare to run out of cards. I might be wrong because its only happened to me in Duelyst, maybe 1 or 2 times in my time of playing (2 and half years), so I could be remembering it wrong but I believe that is how it works.
Thanks! Games never reach that point lol
The wiki is probably right, since my experience was getting hit with a combo using Ice Age so I probably didn’t have time to soak in what was happening with the damage. I know the HS way is an accumulation of damage based on the how much you drawn while having an empty deck.
Whenever you would draw a card, be it from ending your turn, Starhorn BBS, Mogwai etc, you take 2 damage if your deck is empty. This damage is constant. Since there are anti fatigue tools in the game (Legion and Blue Conjurer come to mind) it is possible to simply play forever.
If memory serves, 2 damage per card drawn from an empty deck
I remember @excogitator saying forcefield (e.g. Grove Lion) does not prevent fatigue damage.
This is correct, and you can still take the damage while indominus is out, but you can’t die
Blue conjurer doesn’t help - it doesn’t place cards in your deck. And replacing doesn’t improve your deck size.
So, araras, meditate, mirrorrim and legion (and nightmare operant after trial) are the antifatique tools. Maybe I forgot some cards that place additional cards in your deck.
Yeah, and neither does Arclyte Regalia.
Thanks for the information. I updated the wiki article a little bit: https://duelyst.gamepedia.com/Fatigue
