Faie's bbs needs to be changed

the only problem ive ever had with faies bbs is the fact that it is a bbs, as such its guaranteed, and unlike other generals there is no counter-play or need to combo with cards in hand to get that face damage, i personally wouldn’t mind it if there was a way to avoid the damage to your general.

yes i understand its just 2 damage but it adds up and i feel is a small part of the reason vanar cant have many nice things (mostly its the ramping capabilities).

vanar as a faction is weak though so until they get some better things and maybe some other cards tweaked i wouldn’t want to see faies bbs nerfed.

Let me give you and basically everyone else the rundown both me and death pointed out (personally i sick of writing it again and again everytime someone get tilted for not packing heal or removel in hand)

Aggro faie lives on one card - mentor (which drop on 4 mana regardless to ramp) which you can remove in a second (3 removel you need to pack) and should.
Hearth sister is a good card but it is not a good removel paying 3 to place 2 dmg is not that good and does not remove much unless you go face.

Crypto in vanar is good yet every other general is better with it removel wise or synergy wise.
Lilith can pour hell with her crypto bbs and a cheap spell, meahv drops 8/8 stats on board with the cost of life she will get back gurenteed and so on also feeds trail.
Brome stall, get zeal suppost, feeds trail, ziran need no words, argeon - kinda meh (results in +2 dmg pretty similer to faie).
Zirix - dervish support all around.
Sajj - meh but a good clear
Kara - ok.
Ilena - the best single target removel in game with guantlet.
Reva - … need no words.
Shidai - …the same.
Kaleos - usefull.
Rag - still no words.
Starhorn - mill support
Vaath - smash support.

Now faie - gives 4 dmg to general - nothing else if you play right, i don’t see the opness.
Take every general mentioned above and give them crypto half of them will do better then faie in game and burn you faster.

Faie’s bbs has no in faction synergy - which is the reason why even if an expansion hits nothing will happen regarding faie.

Let’s talk about the dmg - your bbs comes up once in two turns, which means - you drop 1 dmg every turn.
With 3 crypto and 3 mentor you still get less dmg the reva can pull of or rag or cass.
The bbs upset you? Then let’s make it into a card and give vanar more out oc hand dmg because this is the only source where other factions got tons.

You have a way to avoid dmg - heal, place 3 mystics in deck and that’s it (6hp) or 3 azure (9hp).
If you’re running control you either run heal or run stall to win con (or both).
If you run no removel and no heal - then it is your problem, simple as that.

Faie’s bbs is ok for every reason around the board, if you still feel like it is op - build your best aggro faie deck and challenge those here who run aggro decks, you’ll be suprised.

saying heal is avoiding the damage is dumb as you can only do that after it has happened, that assumes your alive to do it.
saying other factions can deal more damage with there own bbs isnt the point (id be ok with faies bbs if it did more damage assuming it was combod with other things from hand and could be avoided if it was just bbs alone).

end of the day its just my opinion though :v

Saying you run control without healing is not knowing the basics of running a long game.
I posted my s rank faie deck i invented and a few others i can tell you i lost to aggro faie once, most of them i stomped pretty easily.

Again you either run heal or you run stall to wincon.
Saying faie is op when reva will leave you with 0 long before 6 mana and it is not even the hardest aggro deck is plain dumb.

Vanar has nothing that support faie’s bbs beside sister and this is a crucial point
In vacuum you may be right but in game your arguement is invalid.

Y’know how “muh peeneeon” often just is used as “i might as well be objectively wrong, but you gotta allow me to keep my flawed beliefs”? 'Cause you’re basically going like “Faie otk’d me by chaining 10 BBSs in one go” at this point. Healing still is a valid answer in the realistic context that you can add layers of survivability to each buffer each layer of damage Faie brings, and we can otherwise discuss limited but strong damage denial methods (like Forcefields or Arclyte Regalia) to further soak.

While i can agree that our girl could use a better, less annoying BBS, you’re at this point being just bratty.

who said anything about not using healing or how important it is, im just said it doesnt solve it if your dead before you can do it,

if i sounded bratty i apologise but the points that are being brought up as to why faies bbs shouldnt be changed arent good enough reasons in my opinion, and thats fine as its as i said, its just an opinion.

So, the common point we’re tossing is that there are plenty of points in the game that you can pull yourself back up before the burn becomes a problem. We just have to disagree in the initial banter that it is overpowered for i believe we all agree it can be annoying, but still as dealable as a burn Reva.

If you want to discuss alternate spells for Faie we can calm down as i propose you a “Summon a 2/2 Vespyr Bloodwing with Flying” or something, but the way you came in we had to pin you down and apply your anti-rabbies shot.

If you can’t find the hole in your turns to drop mystic (2 mana minion) because you’re dead then… we can’t help you.

Besides - this arguements which are not good enough for you are coming from people who know the faction like the back of their hands and people who are the best at playing the faction.

And again - faie’s bbs is fine as long as it doesn’t synergies in faction.

Btw - vespirian might is a thing + plate and frostfire.

If he feels like the bbs now is a bitch, i just thought of 2 ways i can put overpressure with bbs alone.

With all due respect, that alone doesn’t make you trustworthy. On the contrary, I would assume bias in this case.

Not that I think that Faie’s BBS is unbearable when Hai has Geomancer :wink:

ok and what if you dont draw into your healing mystic to begin with, then not much to be done there. ow but look at that looks like faies bbs is is gonna happen cause you know that bbs will do damage and they will always have it.

yes theres better things, yes it doesnt have much synergy (crypographer, mentor, and concealing shroud to stall of course) but that was never the point, it was simply i dont like that faies bbs is unconditional damage.

for the record its not like i dont respect your opinion or think you dont know how to play the faction, i simply disagree why you think it shouldnt be changed.

Shroud is a cancer card but doesn’t emp. Dmg.
Crypto is a meh card in vanar.
Mentor you should remove (i hope you at least packing removel).

I would really like to see how aggro faie got you so broken - can you share a deck list or a replay?

I usually save/waste my removal on basilisk which is often played in burn.

I didn’t say it was broken i said it left you broken.
Maybe if you share with us your replay or decklist people will be able to help you regardless of your opinions.

But when you charging in throwing baseless facts out the least you should expect is a backlash.
I would misunderstand if this thread wasn’t a first for any newcomer or tilted player.
Imagine me throwing - warbeast should be 4 mana, fualt should gain rush and defend it.

Now. Now this is bratty. The reversal could also come as true by arguing “what if Faie never gets her BBS repeaters? Well, guess she just eats minion fist and dies, man”.
You’re chest - not knee, CHEST - deep into delusion and self-defensive discourse at this point, even to the point of evading answers when snowshot basically went as gently as his hardass tactless self could say “c’mon, show us what you’re doing, let’s fix this”.

Hm, I guess it’s pretty annoying that if game was long enough to reach 8 mana turn AND Faie managed to position herself away from all of your threats you’re pretty dead. Given that if you play control you actually want to stay away from Faie due to her +3atk artifact.

So it’s not as baseless as you try to pretend.
