It is a win more card, u can win more easily if u have an established board, but it doesnt help u at all when u are on the defensive and vetruvian has a problems to finish games in srank.

Wait, how can it be a win-more card and reactive? The effect seems pretty proactive to me.

Look, if you have a good board, this card is terrifying. However, usually vetruvian is not able nowadays to dominate the opponents and your board wont be very good when you play this card. If it was, you are already winning without the card. Now in a normal boardstate where u have 0-2 minions, and u have 0-2 mana to spare this turn, his impact wont be huge in the turn he is played. Next turn he will be very good though. Problem is that there are soo many answers in every deck (ranged answers) that it will unlikely survive or be undispelled until your next turn. Then his body wont be that great without effect. Ironically, the card is extremely good vs vetruvian because its the only faction that has no ranged removal or silence. Therefore, the card underperforms for 7 mana, vet just does not have the power to stall the game well enough for this guy to shine.
That’s exactly the opposite, Vetruvian is great as establishing board state but terrible at dealing with things, and this is why this card is so good, it is not slow because it has immediate impact it will OTK you in a lot of situation. And as it was not enough, it’s an other answer or die card that you can put one the other side of the board super safely.
This card is insanely strong like everything in this set.

And this is also good for control sajj because it will also double your pings with your bloodfire totems.(which will be easier to set up with zephyr)
Having only one viable archetype aka obelysk vet which I really hate. In all.honesty you just kinda spam summon and swarm the.board and try to.burst from then onwards -.- It’s essentially spamming must -dispel/remove value generators until you die…

at least we need to think more of what we do, yes sometimes is frustrating but when it works how it’s supposed to…best feels :3

You are totally right vet is the unique what has extremely limited removal , i lost some games because i cannot reach a some effect minion
Why are people using words like “Slow” and “Reactive”? It’s basically if Obliterate rewarded board presence instead of shadow, it’s an explosive finisher. Oseryx was slow because he needed to die first, while you potentially get the benefit of the Grandmaster right away.
What it’s not is a swing comeback card like Makantor or Revenant but you know what different factions have different strengths, and besides there’s always Circle of Desiccation which I swear is a good card.

I always believe in this “you know what different factions have different strengths” but some sometimes looks what some factions has much more strengths than weakness aka Lyonar
I used to main vet and I swear to god I ran 2 circle of dessications because it may actually be the best of the 8 mana spells they made.
Not to mention it probably flat out runs the most raw healing in the game, and possibly will run even more after Duelyst : RotB comes out tomorrow. Of course, there’s also the insane amount of value she can get off Heal Triggers. It feels really weird considering I’ve been playing Healyonar while I normally play Vetruvian, I’m a lot less scared to wack things with Zir’an than I am with Zirix or Sajj. It’s sad to see how far my favourite fire-wielding sand people have fallen. sigh I’ve pretty much given up on everything but the cheesiest Vet decks atm, hoping RotB will breathe some life in to my beloved faction.
yea I’m personally kind of burnt out on excelsious compared to other legendries we have seen so far, at this point I’m hoping the 2nd lyonar legendary will be better. Although I must say I am ecstatic over trinity oath.

I think you and I are in sadly similar situation, I ended up dusting every vet card I had to make the switch to lyonar, but I guess I can’t complain to much considering it’s gotten me to diamond 2 season in a row.
