So today I opened a epic chest and with what i also go in the 3 orbs I’ve made about ~6500 spirits . I think that it’s really worth the money, cause for 9.99$ you can buy 7 orbs (so about 1500spirits)

Yeah if you get the mark2 out of it I think it’s worth it. A lot of people complain about the prices of these but they are cosmetics you don’t need them to complete. I just look at it as helping this great game stay up and running if giving them $10 every once in awhile I’m all for it.

Same here, but I’d be more comfortable if there weren’t any duplicates - or a system similar to orbs, with a guaranteed cosmetic of a certain rarity.
All random cosmetics for common crate.
At one rare or higher for rare crate.
At least one epic or higher for epic crate.

If the orbs in the chests are different from normal orbs and there’s a big chance of getting Mark II skins with the chests… the publishers should tell us. As long as they don’t do my believe is that you was just lucky.

Got a mark 2 of a rare chest, Zirix being the one I got (being a vet main, I could not exactly complain, tho I main Sajj 
). The pack was also pretty sweet; epic and legendary, if I remember correctly. Everything above common crates seems to be worth a try if you have some spare cash and like cosmetics

Pretty much. And this is also part of the game with these things… people who get lucky come to the forums and go on about the great stuff they got and then others buy them and… not so much.

The “cosmetic Spirit conversion rate” is much higher than that for Spirit Orb. $9.99 gets you targetted equivalent to 3750 Spirit worth of cosmetic content. Even for a “legendary win” on raw Spirit like this one, it’s actually a loss unless you actually randomly get the specific items you wanted.
Think of it this way: Spectral Revenant is “worth” 900 Spirit but so is Astral Crusader. Most players who weren’t stupid would rightly consider “a random Legendary card” to be worth much less than the targetted use of 900 Spirit. This is even much worse for cosmetic items, since you can’t manually disenchant unwanted cosmetic items for reduced Spirit, not even to get the much much reduced Spirit for cosmetic item “disenchants.” In order to get even that, they have to be actual duplicates. You get an unwanted cosmetic item, it may as well be 0 Spirit.
When you figure in the substantial probabilities for epic losses on ludicrously puny refunds for duplicate content and that, even a legendary “win” like this probably isn’t actually a win for a lot of players, I have to say that the crate/key system is probably one of the most egregious examples of bad math/poor understanding of value of all time.

By the way , opened a rare chest today , another mk2 skin (zir’an) , cant complain given the fact that they plan to adjust her bloodborn spell ! So there must be something here with the chance to get a mk2 general or Im just a lucky bastard :))
