City-States will rise, Generals will fall but there can only be one true Bloodborn Victor. Is it you?
Overview
Each month, 32 participants will battle it out for a multitude of prizes and the crown of the Duelyst Pro League Champion. With an all new flexible scheduling system, top level production, and the top Duelyst players from around the globe, the DPL is sure to provide a level of excitement like no other. Below you will find all of the relevant information about the DPL, as well as how to sign up!
Registration and Decklists
Registration is contingent on placing top 16 in one of the two qualifiers, as long as the player has a valid account and is not banned from any Initial Gaming or official Duelyst events. Players will be directed to register on Battlefy for each event, which will provide public statistics and event brackets.
Prior to a registration being finalized:
Players register three Generals, each from a different faction.
Players can choose up to two of their generals to play with during a match.
This choice resets whenever a player starts a new match.
Players are not required to inform their opponents which factions they are going to play with.
To follow the format of the Season Qualifiers, Duelyst Opens and the World Championship, decklists will be required to be registered at the beginning of each week (due Sunday at 11:59 PDT) and tracked throughout the season and Grand Finals. Alongside this, there will be no sideboarding allowed.
Point System
Players will be awarded points based on their performance in each week of the league. The breakdown is as follows:
Winning a series 2-0 = 3 points
Winning a series 2-1 = 2 points
Losing 1-2 in a series = 1 point
Losing 0-2 in a series = 0 points
Disqualifying in a series = -3 points
At the end of the three-week league, the top 8 players by total points will be invited to compete in the Grand Finals event.
Scheduling and Results
Players are given their matches every Sunday, with the week officially starting Monday. The tournament admins will publish a list of the matches for that upcoming week onto the Duelyst Pro League website and Discord. Each player will be assigned 3 matches that they will be responsible for arranging with their opponent. If players cannot agree upon a time for their match, it will be defaulted to 6:00pm PDT on the Friday of that week. Failure to show up will result in a forfeit.
5 – 7 matches will be selected (represented by an *) to be featured on the stream at the end of the week. These matches must be finished by the Friday of that week. The winner is responsible to report results to a tournament administrator so the match can be recorded by an official for the stream.
Matches are best of 3 and will be reported to the assigned administrator. It is the winner’s responsibility to report these results. Failure to follow this exact format will result in a request for resubmission by the tournament admin.
If a game ends in a tie for any reason, the match is to be replayed using the same format, decks, and generals.
