How does getting the new keys work, by the way? Does my Twitter/etc need a matching email as my game account or do I get a code?
Duelyst Patch 1.76 – Duelyst
yea im trying to do that too but it doesnt go any farther than the black screen that says duelyst
Try waiting an hour or so before trying to go on it again. It might be the patch update happening for you, or a lot of people trying to get on at the same time. If it happens again in an hour, try leaving it until tomorrow and if it still happens, contact duelyst support as it may be a bug.

You get a code. https://news.duelyst.com/duelyst-patch-1-76/ On the link just above the Balance Changes is the words in pink/red “Get Started here” click that and you should be able to work the rest out from there.
Interesting patch for sure. Definitely more changes than I anticipated. Some of these I agree with. Others I don’t. Of course before I give my thoughts, let it be known that this is before I’ve had the chance to play in this patch.
Agree with:
- Mana Vortex: Too spammable, required little thought since it cycled itself,
- Cryogenesis: Vanar’s best friend when going first, as it almost guaranteed the player to have card advantage at the end of turn 2, and a superior board.
- Rite of the Undervault: With Abyssian’s relatively cheap removal options, 5 mana to refill the hand would sometimes still allow them to respond to a threat on the board. That level of card draw has to have some sort of DRAW-back! …(cricket, cricket)
Don’t agree with:
- Spelljammer: Am I the only one who thinks this is a buff to Spelljammer? Even if Player 2 can’t play it turn 1, it’s still usually a turn-2 play if nothing else.Only difference is that it now survives hits from Holy Immolation, Cryogenesis, and Makantor Warbeast, AND it 1-shots most 2-drops now while still being able to take a hit from the general.
Would’ve preferred it stayed the way it was. - Blistering Skorn: Same thought as Spelljammer: Is this actually a buff to the card instead of a nerf as it was intended? I suppose it’s health threshold is not as vast as Spelljammer, but I think it should still answer all the threats it needs to. I guess I’m more indifferent about this one, though again, personally I deem it unnecessary.
That’s good, thanks mate. I was on my cell so I couldn’t test it out yet.
i lost my dark spelljammer skin?
Oh man… I really disliked the look of this patch…
I have two huge problems with it:
The first is about Mana Vortex. They simply obliterated a very universal songhai card instead of dealing directly with the true offender: Aggro Reva. This nerf together with fox’s hurts Kaleos almost as much, if not more, than it hurts Reva. I personally think they should’ve looked at Arcane Heart and Bloodrage Mask instead, which wouldn’t backfire on Kaleos as much.
The second is Cryo nerf… Sincerely, WTF?! Since when people weren’t playing 4 health minions because of Cryo? Am I the only one that notices all those Elucidators, FWMs and Shadowdancers around? Maybe I’m delusional, but I think they just nerfed Vanar’s only reliable in-faction draw, gave a huge hit to the Vespyr keyword as whole, which was never a real problem, and all that with a very senseless justification behind…
On the other hand, I think they did a good think by looking at Spelljammer, despite not personally liking their solution. On my eyes they made an already dominating neutral stronger all-around, even if it doesn’t specifically suits Spellhai’s curve as well as before.
Well, I’ll trust CP knows what they’re doing and refrain from more critiques until I see how all this turns out…
I don’t know where the Cryo nerf came from - I would argue the card is completely useless now.
Vortex nerf was a bit harsh, but completely warranted. “Trigger all spell effects, gain one mana, draw a card” - seemed a bit too good. Hopefully combined with the nerfs to the Fox and Spelljammer it will mean no more endless cards for Songhai - which I see as an actual problem with the faction. It’s not healthy to have a faction which can play their entire hand and have it refilled completely by the start of their next turn.
Otherwise, nice patch, hard to say how this is going to affect the meta, but we’ll see, we’ll see.
Always disenchant reworked cards because you get full value of them eveen if they do turn out to be not good anymore. i think the spelljameer change is great for mid range and control decks just not for agro any more, im about to include it in my midrange obelisks deck
Same thoughts here
. Slows down the start a bit. However the higher health is going to be a pain. See Taygete for the difference between 4 and 5 health.
We know that a Kelaino that sticks wins games. Spelljammers that sticks means more fuel for aggro players to burn.
A 2/4 is a minion that dies to a few trades. A 3/5 is a frontline threat.
I didn’t. Weird. Restart?
These charts look off. The new system gives 15 per 3 wins and the old 15 per 2 wins still both graphs increase at the same points.
(someone please double check the numbers)
As one can see the new system is a clear nerf to the gold earnings for players that spend between 90 and 200 minutes in the game (assuming a 50% winrate and 5 mins per game) up to -25g at 14 wins.
If the new system was intended to be an incentive to play more this clearly missed the goal. My opinion that the F2P progression is too slow and grindy is no secret and this change makes it even worse.
In the last month or so I tried to get my 14 wins each day in order to catch up regarding my card collection. With the new system I have spend 20 minutes longer for the same. My motivation to spend time in Duelyst just hit an all time low.
It would be great if some of the dev could comment on whether this is really intended.
Sorry not sure what you mean. The orange lines clearly show a constant slope and the blue lines have two slopes with a knee.
Got a code from YouTube, how can I claim the code for Facebook and Twitter?
The graph for the old system should increase every 2 wins, the graph for the new system every 3 wins. Both your graphs increase simultaneously, so something cannot be right with your numbers.
Whoever is pushing these progression changes, please stop. I know why you’re doing it, but I really won’t be able to recommend this game as one that respects your time anymore. It’s still better than other FTP card games, but that isn’t saying much.
It is better than HS and that is about it. Shadowverse clearly has a much better F2P progression and in my opinion so do Faeria and Elder Scrolls Legends.
The graphs show “partial wins” just because it was simpler, which is why they are smoother than yours. It should be the same thing.
I unfortunately must agree that this is a gold grinding nerf. The new quests can also take a very long time to complete.
You are not allow friend. From what I can tell, it is that a spell jammer can now deal 6 face damage instead of 2, while still drawing cards. I.e. 3/1 instead of 2/2.
So basically the spell jammer player gets more value from the body than before (without having to lose it on their turn). I expect some silly lyonar slo into spell jammer turn 1 when going second.
At 3/4, it would have been a slow enough body that it would not enable aggressive decks, while providing an effect that benefits the owner assuming that they are not under enough pressure to kill the spell jammer on their turn.
I think spell jammer as before will see play in the fastest deck in the meta game, however this time it will be lyonar and vetruvian for it being an alternative to 0 mana battle pet on mana spring into dialtos.
well idk what to say
as for the battle maps -- we should have at least had the ability to choose either player 1 or player two if we were to collect 2 but oh well -- first and last one my fav omg reminds me of dark magician
you guys are amazing with the nerf update i was expecting december to see changes but im glad how prompt you guys are.
as for the nerfs… well they look more like buffs to me at least my call on fox have found its justice if we losing to fox we need to say gg and move on .We might see a rise in magmar slightly… skron answers all reva and can tradde with four winds i think skron buff was more surprising to me guess we would have to wait and see how impactful this patch would shake up the meta.
hope no more salt from the community until broken expansion comes out lol good job overall see you guys on the ladder
