Its been months since I played duelyst, I know even back then blast Vetruvian wasn’t that viable but are there no blast decks created?
Does Blast Vetruvian not exist at all?
Blast really is not a theme to build around. It’s just a strong faction keyword. It only appears on four cards. Ankh is a staple for Sajj, pyro and scarab are great budget options or work in a buff heavy list, and the latest grandmaster is used for his passive more then his blast, but he is a very solid minion either way.
There is no decks that are centered around Blast alone as far as I know.
Pyromancer doesn’t stay long enough because of all the 1 dmg spells and abilities that are accessible nowadays.
Starfire Scarab I see every now and then, but at 5 mana its competing with the new removal of Blood Of Air as well as Stars’ Fury plus neutral options.
Nosh-Rak is more for his double damage ability rather than his blast/flying ability.
Wildfire Ankh sees play in combo with other artifacts usually or as a ranged removal option with Sajj’s BBS.
There’s just not enough cards that can enable blast to be a deck theme. Scions third wish no longer gives blast, blast minions are often over powered by other cards and artifacts are the closest thing that you get to blast (though they’d just be carmtegorized as an artifact deck rather than a blast deck). CP might expand upon the blast keyword later on, but there just aren’t enough ways to support Bakst vetruvian as of right mow
I wouldn’t call it a blast deck, but I have a Vet build that uses 3x Starfire Scarab as a big body to get out before dropping Nosh-Rak. I don’t run the artifact or pyromancers though. The deck is pretty good against Magmar, but dies horribly to Vanar. I can’t access Duelyst right now to get the exact list, but it basically just focuses on playing good minions on curve and finishing with Nosh-Rak.
