As much as I love playing Songhai, the faction has plenty of out-of-hand bullshit even without abundance of Rush minions.

Magmar is the melee oriented faction with rush units, thematically and balance wise that is where they belong, particularly because they are like dinosaur era creatures. If one faction has all the rush then they can be balanced around it.
Songhai needs less face damage not more.
These things are fine as neutral due to being fairly underwhelming.
Funniest part is it is not giving them anything. Every deck already has access to these cards, but you almost never see them run in ladder. Mainly only in gauntlet.

Your missing the part where they would be buffed due to being faction cards.
All I saw was “change them into great cards” then it talked about rarity or something. OP never specified if they would be directly buffed, or if so how.

“Great”=Buffed. They have to be buffed into good cards to be great.
yeah, like they could give Tiger +2/+2, but it deals 4 to you.
or for Saberspine Alpha could be a great Abyssian finisher, maybe make it deal 4 face damage whenever it hits a minion, hm, but I guess you might have to move it to 8 mana if you do that, so give it +1/+1 as well.
I think moving to eight mana is completely unwarranted.

For what it’s worth, flavour, color scheme and theming wise, sure, if they were to ever be factional cards by flavour I’d want them in Songhai, by general theming likely Magmar but in terms of “faction” that probably wants this probably Lyonar.
All of the above being dumb at the end of the day since it would be crushing to budget decks everywhere so ultimately these should very much never leave said neutral pool.
