Dispel doesn't work on Sentinel minions?

Hello,
I was playing a game in the Gauntlet, and used the minion Ephemeral Shroud to dispel a Moonlit Basilisk (a Sentinel minion), and I thought it would make it so the Sentinel effect never happened. However, when I cast Bone Swarm, a spell, the minion transformed into a Moonlit Basilisk. I don’t think this is intentional, as dispelling gets rid of all card text and effects, so Sentinel should be included.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Have a Moonlit Basilisk minion on the board
  2. Dispel it with an Ephemeral Shroud

Hey petachip

Just wanted to confirm that this is working as intended (and direct you to where we pointed this out)

  • The new Sentinel minions cannot be dispelled to prevent transformations. This is an intended feature of the Watchful Sentinel.

  • This is similar to how Tribal minions cannot have their tribes removed, a Watchful Sentinel is still a Sentinel.
