Dampening Wave + Lavaslasher + Thunderhorn interaction

Scenario is.
Dampening wave on Thunderhorn.
Slasher on thunderhorn.
My general was next to slasher.
Slasher took 0 damage.
General took 4.

Wait wut, it has to be a bug. Dampening makes enemy unable to counterattack. Would this be the same with boulder breacher?

To the sandbox! Wanna test this?

Dampening Wave usually doesn’t work with Lavaslasher because fighting is not attacking.

The thing is, slasher took 0, and i took 4.

Replay seems to show Lavaslasher taking damage from Thunderhorn :face_with_raised_eyebrow:?!

4 (Thunderhorn) + 1 (celebrant) + 2 (general) = 7 (dead Lavaslasher).

Huh, I remember when playing it didn’t take any damage.

fighting normally means that there is a counterattack even if you dampening waved it, since fighting is a unique mechanic to lasher

wait, so “fighting back” isn’t really counterattacking?

Okay, I wanted to make a statement to this about self defense in a joke way, but maybe it’s best I keep that joke to myself.

Kind of unfair though that Magmar has to itself such a unique and powerful mechanic, certainly more powerful that blast/deathwatch/backstab.

Definitely a glitch if your Slasher doesn’t take damage, but otherwise is working as intended.

Fight is not attack and dealing damage back via fight is not counter attacking.

Yes, I know.

" Fights " implies that both units attack each other, this isnt a normal attack and counterattack scenario

Just noticed it still writes 9 health for this guy, can you fix it?

I did, thanks for the hint! Didn’t see it

But you could do it yourself too. Just click on “Edit” and change the number!
