Daily Card Discussion - February 27th -

Short and sweet, unlike the Card of the Day

To start off the discussion, here are some questions of consideration:

What’s your opinion about the card?

For Cassyva players, how do you utilize this card? Against what, and when, do you usually look to use it?

And fun question of the day, what is your favorite mammoth-sized minion in the game (for art, effect, or animation)?

It’s the cheapest win condition out of all the creep cards, so it does play a vital role for beginners.

My favorite mammoth sized unit would be khymera because you can generate multiple Mechaz0rs .

Boils downs to whether or not you have a removal. Probably the cheapest minion that can get big easily. Slow, but extremely powerful.

Your mother. Hehe got you.

Khymera is probably the best giant sprite, but there’s a special place in my heart for the ungodly giant that is a Horror.

I like this card, it’s fair and strong.

I just put it on the board once it is a big enough threat (eg 7-7)

A mammoth sized minion… Hmmm… Khymera looks dope. Never played it, but it looks dope.

So clever. About as high class as the faction(s) you play

Thats all the justification he needs

Control, not filthy aggro. Speaking of which, dreadnought is pretty chunky and cool, just bad to play.

I don’t like this card, but I don’t like Abyssian in general, so oh well.

My fav big minion… hmmm.
Nosh-rak
He has the OH SH*T, I HAVE NO REMOVAL! Factor.

Urgh, Abyssal is the reason for many of my losses against Abyss when playing Sajj or Zi’ran (or was it Faie? Anyway, it is mostly a problem as Vet, like way too many Abyss cards). It is just a pile of stats, bur more often than not it is an absurd pile of stats that buys then way too much time :rage:.

On the other hand, I don’t think it is unbalanced, just… Abyss MUs FeelVetMan.

EDIT: On my favorite big minion… I am unsure. On bigger mana costs, I like Bonereaper, yet if we are restricted by big sprite size I think I’d go with Grove Lion (I DEd mine tho :frowning:).

This has helped me through a lot of situations, though falls to removals, but it’s a decent solid minion card if you put some shadow nova/klaxon (dedicated, multi-creep generation) as well as crawler and/or ooz. Also syncs with obliterate as finisher.
Few creeps? Replace this minion.

One of the main reasons I run Lightbender. Once enemy cassyva drops down this bad boy, dispel it and usually 2-4 creep tiles. You are 1 mana behind on tempo, but removing creep can be really useful if your deck plans for the lategame.

Not really something for the discussion:
Could you plz mention the name of the “daily card” in the heading of the topic like on reddit?

If you have even 3 creep, it will have superior stats than a hailstone golem.
5 creep and you got a storm metal golem.
At late game, it can gain the stats of an Excelcious for just 4 mana.
Before punish became a thing, afterblazed Suntide was one of my preferred ways to deal with early-mid game abyssal juggernauts. But now it greatly demands removal or dispel to deal with it. And this takes resources away from dealing with shadow sister.

You may have noticed I did on some and not on others. This was intentional as motivation/testing towards the impact of revealing the card may have. Part of it was the idea of, “if you want to find out, click on it”, part of it was “here’s a card I’m sure you have an opinion on.”

Just testing, still uncertain how I’ll look to carry it out, and of other people’s opinions (anyone else feel free to share/reply on this topic).

Personally, I like the name shown in the title.
