I think we should be able to create custom games with our friends where we can adjust certain aspects of the match. Like general stats, card draw, starting mana, hand size, and possibly let us start with certain minions on board like a boss battle. Maybe we could also pick a boss as our general.

Maybe we could also extend it to allow for matches to be played similar to “correspondence” games of chess…and where you can have multiple matches going at once over various time frames.

Eh, I would say yes, but Duelyst isn’t really complex enough for multiple formats similar to chess. I have posted something before suggesting it, but I think it would end up making the game unneccessarily complicated, imagine if someone tried to play something simple like jenga, but then added in a bunch of rules such as player #2 can only touch blocks that are adjacent to player #3 and player #1 can only make his turn if player #2 picked up a black block instead of white and so forth. The game needs to be more complicated to support any chess like formats and the board would have to be bigger and so many more things, but @galaxydueler friend match idea would be cool, just don’t know how anything else would work out. If you guys want to chat about it with me feel free, maybe between our self edumacated munds we can figu 'is out.
Personal opinion that doesn’t reflect the company as a whole yadayada you guys know the drill
Honestly… nah? The only thing I’d like to see in customs for friendlies would be something like the ability to toggle the “turn timer” on/off because sometimes you’re trying to teach friends, other times there’s a pizza guy waiting for you to open the door 
There are tons of wonderful ideas floating around the community (example 1 | example 2) that honestly should all deserve their own queue if we ever get around to making them - it would feel really weird to hide these away in custom friendlies.

You can try! But I can’t make any promises besides “hey I’ve been keeping a list of cool ideas people suggest” - we’re more likely to make a return of The Rift mode with updates before we start pumping out new game modes
