Creative Counters Nobody Thinks of

Now we’re talking. Doubles as a strategos threat as well. Nods sagely

That’s not a counter though. That’s a meme which can sometimes generate a kooky outcome. Again, when fault is played, they generally will proc it as well. Also, playing mindwarper on 4 will generally put you behind to the point where the vet general will just swarm over you without even needing to fault

Then I don’t realise how is Oculus better. Except that he is reliable.

If they ignore oculus and fault against say Songhai there’s a very real chance you either kill them or threaten massive damage. Same against strategos on their pre jax turn.

You answered your own question

Hmm. Abyss has Nethermeld and Cadence. I may meme around it later.

If Oculus will live through their consistent removal that is

That’s a lot more likely now though with as little dispel as tends to see play during the current meta.

Mythron Wanderer: 6 mana 7/7

Pantheran: 6 Mana 8/8

Why hasn’t anyone said “Lightbender”, to counter “Fault”? Even on P1 curve, you have 2 mana left over.
Yes; I realize it only dispels, at max, three tiles. 2 are better than having 5 to deal with.

here’s my HOW TO COUNTER ASCENSION SAJJ WITH THIS ONE SIMPLE TRICK:

Dying Wish Maehv pumps out less and weaker bodies than Okkadok Horn

Dying wish Maehv usually has a deck full of ramped cards, so playing unfathomable rite on your 6 mana is usually a really good play against them

And for a serious counter, Mechs are really good (in my experience) at countering Wanderer, just make sure you plant mechaz0r in the correct spot (try to play around EMP, eternity painter, egg morph, lightbender/shroud) and try to out-tempo them as fast as possible so they are always on a bad foot and punish them for playing wanderer on their 6 mana with no board (good wanderer players won’t do this) by clearing it and dropping mechaz0r at the same time.

I once did steal Fault with Bandit. I actually got to use it before my opponent, and the game ended pretty soon after that. Also, smoking is bad for you.

Not really a counter, but there’s a cute synergy between prophet of the white palm and burden of knowledge. At some point I want to mess around with this.

When you play Lurking Fear as the only spell in the deck and the enemy Scroll Bandits you, both cards counter one another (yes, this has also happened to me :D)

… you mean the ka variant?

How did you know it happened?

Theoretically Mindcage Oni could still be useful even after his nerf so you could Fault over their Fault and then Protocol Horn the swarm away, obviously this whole plan is a bit of a stretch :upside_down_face:

On a more serious note I’ve noticed the long forgotten Star’s Fury has actually became pretty good, with nobody playing around it anymore and Fault being popular it can score quite a few lethals.

I got literally zero kha enemies when I started running fault to tech their fault.

Playing against apex while having2 eclipses and a worldcore/excelsius/omega in deck. (Happened to me, but I didn’t have the muscly boi, not like he survived the double tempest afterwards.)
that moment when you use psychic conduit on sarlac/carrion/crystal wisp
On a side note, tethermancer counters gor and I totally don’t use her.
Pls no bully

And we all know the only counter is zurael after a circle of diseccation.

I was playing the Lurking Fear deck. When you have only one type of spell in your deck you know exactly what the enemy gets from Bandit
