Just got an idea that MindWarper is a nice counter to Fault. Or Alcuin, less random but slower.
Any other creative ideas from the community?
EDIT. Guys, I didn’t mean specifically Fault counters. Counters for any popular deck are interesting to me.

Keshrai Fanblade would cause their fault to cost 8, but doesn’t actually stop it forever

I wanted to start a thread about this particular thing last weekend. I thought I’d be flamed because it’s not competitive to tech such a bad card against a deck that is not Wanderagnora.

Edit: What I did was fiddling with bagoum “let’s put every Fault/Kha counter in a single deck to post it on the forum”. It had Mindwarper, Night Watcher, Verdant Fulmination, Lightbender, Venom Toth, Chirpuka… Then I ran out of motivation.

Also slightly off-topic but I noticed we have the anti-ranged counter, the anti-rush counter, but there is no anti-flight counter. This should have been my entry to the card contest. damnit

Is there a card lyonar has acces to which permanently reduces atk of a minion of yours while also boosting health by atleast 1?

Yeah, a spell that grounds flyers or an artifact that snares flyers that attack a general… anything would be neat… I don’t honestly see too many flyers though so I haven’t really thought much about it.

Rizen has been a rough road for Maehv (at least for me) and it can make life miserable for Vetruvian. Q’orrhmla’a could mess up some decks I suppose (Maehv dying wish reduction?). Alcuin Loremaster would be a good card to hang onto for Fault heavy meta I suppose too.
I ran into someone using a lot of unconventional cards the other day and immediately wrote it off since the cards never show up on any topics. Ended up being a good match and a lot of surprising plays.

Are you sure that Q looks at the current cost and not the original one?
I know that there are some strange interactions with ox where he doesn,t care about discounts (like blood taur) and insted always looks at the original cost of a card

In what universe does mindwarper “counter” fault? If anything, you’d want alcuin because it guarantees you can steal it if it’s played on curve. Even then, playing fault often matters little since their poops block your spawns unless you can clear and play your own fault in one turn.

It CAN counter fault if you are lucky to steal it. And with warper you can actually steal it in advance and play it immediately after the opponent thus erasing all sand tiles.
5 Dervishes will spawn, sure. But 5 dervishes vs unlimited number of dervishes is a pretty good win, IMO.
