Confused about what counts as "Tokens"

a lot of cards in the game like nether summoning has the “non-token” clause, and seriously even after 2 years of playing I still don’t get it.

So here are the scenarios:
Are minions transformed into “non-tokens” (say, mirage master, flawless reflection)?

what about minions that are “transformed back” (say, metamorphosis)?

Are cards artificially added to your hand “tokens”?

  • Do tokens(returned to your hand) that have non-token counterparts (heartseeker, silverknight), when summoned from your hand, count as a token?

  • Are “EXACT COPIES” like the cards created by second self and mind sculpt tokens?

  • Are mirrorim copies tokens?

  • If I stole a minion from opponent’s deck, does that count as a token?

Are cards that were transformed in your hand count as “tokens”?

  • Is there a distinction between say “token” hand cards like Feather Knight, or Mono Vision cards(additionally, Orb Rider)?

Do cards(with no non-token card counterpart) summoned from hand count as tokens?(Xeroloth, Feather Knight)

A token is a card that cannot be collected and put into a deck. Mirrorim copies and other such copies are not tokens. Stolen minions are not tokens. No sentinels (transformed or not) are tokens. Feather knight is a token. No cards from mono are tokens because they only give you vetruvian collectable cards and tokens are non-collectable. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Untransformed sentinels are tokens, because the untransformed form counts for Nemeton proggresion

A really? Whoops. Didn’t know.

Same goes for minions in Build form. While there, they are tokens

Yeah makes sense cause the after the minions that’s what the collectable card is refering to. Well hopefully this helps cloudfrog.

should we be contacting cpg/yaviey about this? there’s just waaay too many edge cases

I don’t think so. Token issue is pretty consistent.

If you can’t craft a card, it’s a token, whether they are transformed, copied, stolen, and so on.

Tokens -
Build while building
Sentinals before trigger.
Aspects
Yggdra voracity
Scarzig
Pando
Blood totem
Howlers
Walls
Kron’s and pandora’s minions.
Etc…

Mirrorim copies tokens (a key component in scarzig voracity sotw deck).

Tokens bouncing into your hands are still tokens.
Exact copies are stil tokens.
Stealing a minion will steal take the token form until triggered.

I also think all battlepets count as tokens?

No… sone of the are, some aren’t.

Dex is a token (i think), those you get in your collection are not tokens.

On the wiki you can find the full list of Tokens.

what about cards like these tho:

also heartseeker isn’t in the list on the page

so as long as it’s craftable it’s non-token? (cuz that’s messed up)

a rule of thumb - if it exist in your collection it is not a token, if not - it is.
