Chaos Elemental tips anyone?

As the title says, I seem to be lucky when it comes to landing Chaos Elementals (or am I?) …

Any tips? Is it good with a certain deck or does it synergize with any? I’m so tempted to create another account because of it lol. Might disenchant if it is indeed not that useful.

Newbie here. Thanks mate!!!

There are a couple of factions out there that enjoy chaos elemental. One such faction would be songhai, since Kaleos can bring in and out with his BloodBorn Spell and Reva can use him as a push away minion with juxta position or just fly it in with Mist Dragon Seal (Kaleos as well). Another Deck that uses him from time to time is Healyonar (AKA zi’ran) since his “High” Health allows it to stay up for some time and you can use it as a healing target. Another faction would be Vanar, since with Hearthsister you can also bring it in and out, but… its way more situational than in the previous things I mentioned ^^;

Even though its a strong minion, its not that good since 3-drops are normally used for their utility, not their overall stats (except silverguard knight)

You’re not getting lucky. That’s just how the card works. Considering the board size and the fact how minions can move up to 2 spaces, it’s negative side of randomly teleporting isn’t that negative at all. It actually make it more difficult to kill. And it’s already difficult to kill as it is considering it’s the best statted 3 drop in the game.

It’s just a solid 3 drop which you play for the body. It can work in any deck that just want to have good statted minions. The card just isn’t played a lot because people really overestimate it’s negative side though.

Guilty on thinking it isn’t useful. That’s why I needed help with it.

By lucky I mean, I got three of it already so early in.

The HEALYONAR strat from mrrender sounds awesome! Will give it a try soon. The Chaos Elemental does indeed fit better with Kaelos BloodbornSpell though.

I tried looking for useful videos in the internet, but to no avail.

There’s no videos because they card doesn’t requite any synergies to be good. Like said, it obviously works nice with Kaleos BBS but it’s otherwise still just a good card on it’s own in almost any midrange deck.

Hope I land a good set of Songhai Cards then. xD

Problem with Songhai is, the card is good in there just as it’s bad. Why? Because Gore Horn exists and does a really similar, probably even better job. So trying to focus on Songhai just because of Chaos Elem isn’t something you should do. If you like the faction itself however, then sure, go for it.

Honestly I’m enjoying Lyonar right now, but I’m planning to Vanar deck soon. The surge is awesome.

By the way I’ll ask anyway, Are you familiar with the Twin Fang Artifact? I got it from playing 1 game each faction. Is it nice in the long run?

Well, there does exist such a thing as “twin fangs otk” magmar (basically have a couple minions, Put the twin fangs, use skorn deal 20 damage face). I would tell you to keep it as of now, since its a useful card in that archetype and we have no idea how much it’ll be used when the expansion hits.

It’s a good idea not to DE anything until the end of the month. Expansion will hit which will result in both cards and meta changing.

At this specific moment in time, it’s a good artifact for Magmar. You can run it as is but you can also build a combo deck around.

Again newbie question. Does the meta change every month? Or just when things update which is by the end of the month?

It shifts usually at the end of the month (since 4 new cards are added) or whenever a balance patch hits.
In this case, theres an expo being released at end of month, so we’re expecting a massive meta shift considering 90+ cards are coming out.

The meta doesnt usually change every month, but somethings change here and there (swarm used to be stupid powerful until skorn came and said hi), but the 31st of this month we are getting an expansion, so everything is gonna change :stuck_out_tongue:

It also changes here and there when there are balance patches, but again, it has to be a HUGE change.

Thanks everyone. Learned what I could for now. Cheers to all. I’ll add you guys if it’s alright. Sent!

I used it in my Kara deck because I wanted a solid, dispel-safe thing to drop on 3, especially as player 2. The random teleport actually consistently turned out to be an advantage, since the enemy has to plan around killing it, while it’s most often still in range on my turn if he doesn’t.
