âItâs beautiful, but it looks awful. An 8 drop that stalls the game at best is poorâ
âNot viable in constructed, but strong in gauntletâ
â8 mana 7-5 provokeâ
âNot very good at all.compare this to nosh-rak, desth knell, embla, zir or juggernautâ
âman this is terrible. i would play war talon before this.â
âSeems ok. Dispelâs going to be played more now and at 8 mana, you risk dying more often if this is the card thatâs âsavingâ you. Not great, but not bad.â
Did the card match your initial impressions of it? Is it better or worse than you original thought?
How often do you see this card on the ladder? What deck do you think it is good in?

New discussion every Monday ,Wednesday and Thursday,
This card is far worse than what Iâd hoped it wouldâve been when the art was revealed. Iâve never seen it played at all.
I love the art and I feel the card could be good with the right changes. As it is now, the body and the effect are too weak for the 8 mana cost. Personally, I want to see just one minor change: âMinions cannot attack or counterattack your general.â
This would promote aggressive plays and provide immediate value when she enters play. If we saw this change, Iâd want her to stay at 5 hp so it isnât too terribly difficult to remove her (considering the massive mana investment made to play her).
Really? Huh, interesting. I may have to go confirm this for myself some time. However, if this has always been the case, it seems she really does need more than that
This is a flavor legend- meant to be an over the top Concealing Shroud on a static ability. It would require a deck with an emphasis on building CA and locking- but as it is, is functionally unplayable because of Luminous Charge and Icebreak Ambush- which generate a type of CA, without having to build decks which compensate for Vanarâs cardflow issues (Ambush usually makes a pair of Snowchasers which have their infiltrate activated.)
The state of Vanar is such that the most effective way to play, is to recklessly ramp, and drop 5-6 mana spells until the opponent dies- and make such disgusting tempo gains, that your opponent canât value around it. Therefore, these sort of soft-lock cards have largely fallen off (I actually wanted to make a Flawless Reflection build.)
The biggest problem with this card for me, is that itâs text is just plain wrong. If you attack an enemy minion with it, you donât take any damage, which doesnât line up with the description.
If this effect was on a cheaper card and given to Sajj, it could be amazing. As it stands, a 7/5 that turns your general into a buff pando in Vanar is nothing spectacular.
Would be good if it was âyour general takes no damage from minionsâ. Immediate value, bigger threat. As is, not very good, but gives a nice body. If you want that though play Ghost Bae
Oh really? The card text just says âattackâ which I assumed to mean just that, which would imply you can still be damaged by counter attacks and frenzy. Good to know!
