  1. As a big GOT and especially Dragon fan i loved the card from the beginning and was very happy to see that it was actually a very viable card

  2. Not that often and i don’t really get why, when i see it then usually because i am using it by myself.

  3. I have been a big fan of Drogon/Crypto even back in ROTB when everybody else was freaking out about Decimus Starhorn and Entropic Gaze. Changing it to 4/5 would obviously be nice, but the card is strong enough as it is so it’s not really needed.

  4. If they happen so late in the game and are avoidable then yes. I never had any issues with Variax for the same reason. Duelyst is supposed to be fast, to make sure that games don’t take too long the cards at the upper end of the curve have to be strong “deal or die” cards.

It’s a strong card, as I predicted. It’s also basically the same card which I proposed at a card design contest before RotB, so I particularly like it :slight_smile:

It seems none is using Drogon today, me included, but this thread makes me want to use it again. I used to run it in my Combo Vaath deck, but it’s admittedly a strong card by itself. I think it’s balanced, I would not adjust it in any way.

I’m fine with Duelyst having OTKs as long as they are not too abusive. Combo decks are fun to play, but they can be boring to play against when they completely shut down control strategies. Having a very limited number of “shit, move on” matchups is one of the strengths of Duelyst and I’d like to see it preserved

Wait, do you mean the combo deck beating the control deck? If so, please post the deck in question using this, and elaborate exactly how to make the Vanar and Vet. players start crying.

It’s an old deck, buried here somewhere. I need to rebuild it and test it in the new meta, I will be happy to try it out soon and disclose the final result.

In the meanwhile, if you want to see Vanar cry, go for Burn Starhorn, using the Decimus Spike combo. That deck has insane face damage and limited board presence, which counters Vanar lack of healing and tons of removals.

Gah! I’m torn between trying to complete my Songhai midrange deck with 3 painters and battle pandos to make it to diamond, but I also want to try a new faction. What’s a guy to do…

Well I do already have two Manakator Jesus’s and three Kujata’s, but I also have two aspect of the mountains for Vanar…wait! No, I won’t submit to the temptation of your false gods! No you can atone for your sins by dusting every songhai card and craft only serpentis all the magmar cards.
