Can't keep up with the meta due to drop rates

Hello ! As a long time Duelyst player, I feel that it’s gotten to the point where they need to do something about the legendary drop. During the previous expansion and the current one, I’ve felt a massive drop in legendary cards. This is duelyst, where you can put 3x of each legendary in the deck, not HS, where you put one.

Currently, I’m standing at 2 legendaries after 28 packs wondering if it’s worth purchasing packs in this expansion any longer.

Not only that but as a f2p player, looks like you’re going to need to complete all the daily quests in order to be able to have semi-competitive decks that can stand up to the meta, and I find it considerably difficult to be f2p and have most of the competitive legendary cards.

That being said, I’m strongly considering leaving the duelyst ranks, although I think it’s a great game, I simply can’t keep up with the rest.

Any thoughts, advices ?

Thoughts: the last expansion showed a definite improvement in the quality of legendaries. Most of the new ones are cool and enable interesting archetypes. As such, it is more appealing than ever getting most of them.
I think the drop rates are fine, the real problem is that there are too many legendaries. If I’m not mistaken, we got around 20 legendaries in 100 cards, which is obviously too much. I still miss many legendaries from previous expansions.

Advices: just recall that legendaries are useful to have fun, yet they are not critical to succeed. They enable more deck variety, but you can build strong decks with a very limited number of legendaries or even none. Also, many legendaries are not really needed as 3 ofs.
Wait until the meta stabilizes to detect which legendaries are really good and which ones are not, then go for selected crafting to get the former.

Unless the current expansion is different or my memory is wrong, Duelyst has somewhere beteeen 1/3 and 1/5 drop rate per pack for legendaries, which is very high. Could be unlucky.

You just unlucky IMO. Just get 2 legendary from 8 orb. If see from other tread the droprate is not too bad.

half of my orbs were legendaries. It’s probably variance.

You’re just extremely unlucky like me, who got 7 epics and 2 legendaries from 26 orbs. But don’t lose hope, what you need to play Duelyst is skill and persistence, not good luck. With proper playing and hard work, you’ll be able to overpower those legendary cards and put their price tag to shame.
