I’m not playing Duelyst from the beginning of the month. So take my advices with a grain of salt.
It’s not a decision. I didn’t stop playing because the meta is still, or because DEET MGMR, or because Q4 content wen. I didn’t stop because it’s not fun anymore. It’s still fun. A bit.
I just stopped.

It’s fun when I play, and it’s also fun when I don’t play. I’m not bothered either way. 
Now that I think about it, this is why I never STARTED playing duelyst until recently.

Right now, I’m playing halfheartedly only for the daily rewards.
I basically only play on stream days now. I love the game, its still fun. But I am slowing down because of “Q4 content wen” and due to the meta, not because its stale (which it also is), but because its the second worst meta of all time. A healthy good meta I love having for an extended period of time, and can often evolve on its own, but this one is a disaster.
If there is a patch hitting wanderer and kha, I will absolutely love the state of the game. Those two are freezing the meta. There are certainly some other things that could really use attention, but those two are what is killing it.
Frankly I want that patch way more then an expansion, I could do or do with out an xpac, but a good patch is a must, otherwise after the next team wars ends that may be it.
@alplod I hope you, and everyone, will hop back in if a new patch comes. Wish they had not left it in this state for so long as it really did a number on the playerbase.
I’m not playing much due to having very little time to play and anime/music stuffs stealing much of my available time Still have sooo many memes to explore, so I hope this game won’t shut its servers for a few years at least.

The game got boring really, everyone hard assing with boring decks (thankfully not the people here).
Meta meta meta… dudes running to s rank like their lives depending on it using all the cheesy decks in the book.
I had enough really, this is just a burdon at this point.
And i feel like i give wins out.
I’ve stopped for now, but plan to start again as soon as something new happens. Anything, really - a balance patch, new cards, a new gamemode… anything.
So for now I’ll wait, and hang out here in the forums. But I think eventually - eventually - something will happen. And then I’ll start playing again.
Funny thing, but same. It just happens to me that I don’t want to play Duelyst. It’s also a large part of why I got to S for the first time only last month.
I personally don’t want to test new decks - even memes - lower than in Diamond. So I have to rank up. And then I just turn out to be ranking up for whole month without actually playing new decks
