Boss Inspired rewards?

So, I don’t really wanna pay 5 bucks for a couple spirit orbs, a common key and a card.
Not worth it for me.
I do like cosmetics though. Maybe we could get a universal skin ( every faction ) that looks like the boss.
I’d love to play artifact sajj with a caliber-o skin.

Or alternatively we could have cards that are inspired by the boss.
Example: Spirit of Caliber-o, Neutral spell, 7 mana. At the beginning of every turn, equip a random artifact from your faction.
Another one: Monolithe’s curse, Neutral artifact, 6 mana. Each minion you destroy is possessed by you. This artifact only has 2 durability.

What do you guys think?

I like the boss crates (devs need to make money) and I think your idea awesome. I would love the idea of a skin or a card being included in your boss crate. Mainly the skin that way if they ever release a good card there isn’t any pay to win complaints.

That’s what I was thinking. The card could be a reward for just beating the boss and if you like the boss you can buy a key for a skin of them.

They dropped the monthly cards. So what I think would be cool, is if we got the boss as a card, then they wouldn’t have to do extra art work, and just make card that resembles the boss, that we can play with. Now you just add a boss orb for new players who want to get these bosses, where you get a full playset of a boss you do not yet have, kinda like rise of the bloodborn, and pay 100g for it.

This way we get something new to play with at a regular interval even if the boss has no impact on the meta.

I would much rather that beating the boss allows you to play against them in practice mode any time. This would be an interesting reward that does not affect ranked mode in any way.

Perhaps make it a crate reward and the reward for beating them at least once with all six factions since, from the looks of it, every item in Duelyst can be obtained is some way without spending money.

If there was a new skin, I feel like we’d have to have a way to decipher which faction is being played. I know the game announces which factions are facing off at the loading screen, but I don’t know if everyone would be happy having to depend on that, especially if players have to be quiet or are hard-of-hearing.

Personally I think the boss should just give X3 of a random rare in the respective orb that they give. Since monolith gives you a Shimzar orb it would give you X3 shimar rares, and you get the idea. Having exclusive minions and such would make it harder for newer players to get “Good boss cards,” since Monolith showed that CPG wasn’t joking around with the boss part.

There are plenty of guides that shows you how to beat the boss, even with basic cards. I do not think any player would give up on the boss if they knew they had to beat it to get some cool card. I would be surprised if any new player is currently giving up on it because of the orb.

I love the effect on Monolith Guardian. It would be awesome if its starting health was zero, with the cost lower to balance its instant death to dispel.(Just because it would be amazing to have a minion with a base health of zero)

It is interesting to have a card die instantly when you play it, for death watch synergies. Kind of like kujata + 1 health minions.
