Blood Taura has arrived! (Monthly Card Preview)

The point is get low and get Blood Taura for free or near free and heal out of danger.The dream scenarios for somelike for Lyonar or Magmar is down to the health where Taura is free and do something big.Lyonar can drop Grandmaster Zir and Blood Taura on same turn.Magmar can do some like play Elucidator ,drop free Blood Taura in the person face and Heal for 8.The healing abyss doesn’t really help it imo

This is the dream. You need to be on 2 hp (or 1) to drop Taura on same turn as Z’Ir.

You need, without Flash, to be at exactly 5 HP to Elucidator, Taura, and Earth Sphere.

You see how exact these requirements are? And you have to have 9 total mana. I really wouldn’t count on it. Ever. It’s like the “Triple Flash Elder into Fractal Replication it” dreams, so unlikely to happen, and not something you base serious decks’ strategies around.

Blood Taura is only free when you have 0 HP, and at that point, you’re not casting it.

It costs as much as your HP, exactly. So when you have 5 HP, it costs 5, when you’re at 1 HP, it costs 1.

you cant actually play Taura for free, because his cost is the same as your general HP. So, a free Taura would mean a lost game :grin:

While I don’t think it’s an amazing card by any means. I do like that Duelyst is having new cards that synergizes with the amount of health you have. I just think it’s an awesome concept, I wouldn’t use it in a ladder deck, but I think it could be great fun in Gauntlet.

Either you find a combo to break the card, but played normally this card is complete trash.

This card is never enough to save you. I remember the last person that dropped this on me found out I had an egg morph. They lost to my 13-11 Leviathan.

The probable “best” way to use Taura would be in a Lyonar deck that plays 3 grandmasters zir, this way you can take a bit more risk with your life total and once you have z’ir going you can play blood taura for 0. Even in this context the card will be EXTREMELY situational and having to rely on z’ir is insanely risky, but maybe you can try a fun deck with that.

By the way with the current card pool I think Blood Taura is the worst card in Duelsyt ever made ^^.

I made a deck…try it and see for youself…best moment was being at one health and using Circe of life…won that game because removel and Heal and 12/12 :stuck_out_tongue:

11…kinda cant jump into 10 but shoud be possible. I am still wanting to stay in silver to try out weird decks. (sounds weird but silver is just fun because all the new player that make weird ass decks)

Yeah no prob making fun deck is really cool , but by saying “it works” you imply that your deck is actually good which could be very misleading to people who are reading us. And I am sorry to tell you that making to rank 11 with a deck doesn’t prove anything (I am sure I can go to rank 11 by the end of the season with a basic deck without problems).

If you make it to diamond rank 3 by the end of the season you can consider the deck as playable in a competitive environment and if you push it to S-rank you can consider it as good.

But of course if you are having fun with it that’s what matter at the end of the day.
