Best 2 out of 3?

Just thinking random things,

How would you guys feel with a game mode (ranked or unranked) with best 2 out of 3 matches with side cards available?

Dumb idea? Definitely yes lol.

But for the sake of my new years resolution to stay active in Duelyst I ask you, the mighty few this question.

Can’t go wrong with that one.

I assume side cards is like a side-deck to use between matches in which case I dunno how that would go exactly, it could definitely be useful to tech in certain cards once you know what your opponent is playing and they could do the same.

The only problem is unlike tournaments (correct me if I’m wrong though), you know what archetype your opponent is playing once you have already gone against them once in the best 2 out of 3 round one.

Would also be too slow for anybody to want to do compared to regular ladder.

Don’t worry though, @ThanatosNoa, will be announcing new game modes soon, multiple , so keep hope.

there are tournamnets with this mode, but nothing for ladder. if you want to join them then they put out adverts for them every week.

I think they could easily introduce a rematch feature in any game mode, and this wouldn’t be the first game to have that. All you gotta do is limit it to 1 rematch (or two if the match has a different outcome so that a tie can be broken). Wouldn’t skew ranked at all I think.

AKA tournaments. They’re quite fun!

I would definitely play this kind of game mode, just it has to have a bigger insensitive to play ladder.

This would be a fun mode to teach people how to make a sideboard, but games might last too long for it to work out.

On average it will last 42 minutes, which isn’t too bad. The siding will probably be 3 mins Max so 45 average?

Sorry that is too long for “lightning fast matches”

then give aggro a massive buff in this game

I can see the validity of both sides. Cool to see everyone’s responses!
