If I may be so bold, here are a few recolorings that I’d be happy to pay money for:

• Sunsteel Defender: Earthy/Foresty recolor (to make it more fitting in Magmar).
• Owlbeast Sage: ‘Dark’ / Reddish recolor (to make it more fitting in ArcanystHai), ‘Light’ / Goldish recolor (to make it more fitting in Lyonar).
• Sun Seer: Same as Owlbeast.
• Inquisitor Kron: All the recolors! Magmar and Abyssian-centric would be my preference, but all factions would be really neat.
• Primus Shieldmaster: Same as Kron
• Dioltas: ‘Light’ / Goldish recolor (to make it more fitting in Lyonar).
• Healing Mystic: ‘Dark’ / Silhouette Tracer recolor a la the official Spelljammer recolor.
• Lightbender: same as HM.
• Primus Fist: Same as HM.
• Ruby Rifter: Same as HM.
• Aethermaster: Same as HM.
• White Widow: Same as HM.
• Jaxi: ‘Light’ and ‘Dark’ recolors
• Blistering Skorn: Earthy/Foresty recolor.
• Dancing Blades: Spooky, Soul-Edge recolor.
• Chaos Golem: ‘Light’ recolor.
• Repulsor Beast: Earthy/Foresty recolor.
• Grove Lion: White/Gold, Lyonar recolor.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for these! The poison woods stuff is particularly cool! It inspired me to try my hand at modding a few units.

Make some human (as in a normal skin colour compared to the pale pruple), light/good variety of humanoid Abyssian minions, like Shadow Sister, Kaleano or Bloodmoon Priestess.

Oh my goodness, finally got around to figuring out how to install these mods (can’t for the life of me find the app folder for the official Duelyst launcher, but found the Steam one with no problem), and the Dancing Blades recolor looks phenomenal. Balamea, would you be open to commissions and/or do you know of any easy/free program I could use on Mac to do recolors?

Also, do you know if it’s at all possible to mod Minion sprites (e.g. The Scientist) to use as a General skin?

Edit: Nevermind the last question. I read your little tutorial on the dogehai skin editing and it worked perfectly for using minion skins. I’ve begun repurposing all my unused MkI skins. The least I can do is make use of phenomenal sprite work that would otherwise go unseen. Now if only they had casting and replace animations

Balamea, would you be open to commissions and/or do you know of any easy/free program I could use on Mac to do recolors?

first question . I do any sprite if the idea sounds cool and funky

second question . I myself use photoshop , but for a loooong time used this website https://pixlr.com/editor/ . its really easy . just open your sprite , click on the bucket paint tool and untick the anti-alias and contiguous boxes . then just bucket in the color that you want on another color

EDIT : ohh and btw , how does a general that looks like a minion look like when you cast . does he just stand or does he go all crazy , I never tested that out

Sorry I didn’t see your reply sooner! I’ve just tried tinkering with that pixlr editor and it so far seems very easy to use. Do you have any recommendations for tutorials or guides on how to most effectively use it (geared towards complete image editing novices like myself)? For instance, I’m using the bucket tool as you instructed, but for Kara’s MkII, her sword colors are also combined with her hair and arm colors. If I wanted to use separate colors for each, how would I go about doing that? Also, would you be willing to put together a tutorial yourself (this would be amazing)?

As to the minions as Generals, no animation plays for casting/replacing. Either they continue with their breathing animation, or the animation sometimes freezes/stutters.

I dont really know how to make a tutorial , all that I do I have already explained . I just put colors on other colors ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . and the thing with karas hair and her sword . you cant really do anything about that . you would’ve to just color every part in , piece for piece . ohh and thanks with clafication on how minions as generals look like :3

Ah, bummer. I’ll try to post-up my first draft of a Kara MkII recolor tonight (dark brown armor, gold trim, ‘rose quartz’ colors for the sword and arm). I’m definitely beginning to appreciate just how time-consuming the process is…

Update: This has been quite fun so far, though I’m still getting the hang of things. I’m open to requests too if people are interested. I’ll update this post with an assortment of recolors I deem presentable:

Not 100% satisfied with the outcome, but pixlr started to bug on the coloring so I’ll perhaps come back to it later.

I went a little tame on the coloring, and I may revisit it to make it match better with the White Wyvern recolor.

White Wyvern: Suntide Wyvern

I tried to make a Lyonar recolor of Dioltas’ Tombstone, but the overall sprite didn’t seem to fit with Lyonar. Ergo, I replaced the Tombstone with a Lyonar recolor of White Wyvern

This seems to be the place to share some reskins, so why not?
Made a swap of colour palettes between The Scientist and Dark Nemeisis; each coloured like their opposite.
I’m personally really pleased with how the Dark Scientist turned out. Looks great to me!
