Arcanyst Swarm Lilithe, ver. 2

In my unexpected rest from Duelyst I started missing my old decks I considered smart and also missed discussing them in the forums.

Here I present a reiteration of my old idea.

The deck is hybrid. It combines two engines - owlbeast/illusionyst/arcanyst and swarm to constantly throw stupid sh*t at your opponent.

For example. You have an owlbeast and some wraithlings onboard. If the opponent chooses to AOE your swarm, you just continue on arcanysts. If he dispels or removes your owlbeast, you continue amassing or cashing in your swarm. On paper it works this way. Ingame it is not always that easy, but I tend to create such situations more often than not.

About newcomers:

  1. Cryptographer is obvious. Swarm+spell.
  2. Loreweaver is a bit better than spelljammer here, since he is an arcanyst and doesn’t give cards to an opponent.
  3. Shadowdancer is useful against Wall Vanar.

Possible tweaks: ShadowStalk, inkling surge (currently in testing in place of swarm), soulshatter pact, aethermaster (for easy engine changing), another card draw engines (rite is too clunky), heavy artillery (DeathKnell, Variax, Rev).

Deck is fun as hell, and also seems to perform much better than classical swarm Lilithe in current meta. Highly synergetic. The main problem is the lack of healing, but Sun Seer is almost useless here.

With only 6 2mana drop, I think it’ll be hard to take the board if you miss p1t1, which may happen very often with that little amount of possible play (sphere on mana tile is a little bit inferior play and also wastes a valuable ping/fuel for arca). With only 2 heavy removals it’ll be even harder to do so as well. Aethermaster seems a good choice to fill this to adapt to various situations better, and also a Arca body.

Rite is very slow right now, though manaforger might help. I haven’t seen that card in a long time.

With two engines onboard it’s hard to fit either more hard removal or more 2-mana drops. My best guess is to remove shadowdancer in favor to aethermaster - but aethermaster itself is just another tiger food and we already have enough of this with manaforgers. Still, a valid criticism.

About rite - yeah, manaforgers do help. Also rite is my choice since it’s a spell, thus increases the probability of lorewevers drawing two cards.

Maybe Primus Fist will be decent as well, as the lack of actual heavy removal forces you to often trade minions, and this should be solid 2drop and damage pusher.
Thought about Healing Mystic as well but I think Primus Fist easily aces this because you have enough general heals.

I think dropping 1 bloodtide is fine, she’s not that easy to play nowadays with the existence of Thunderhorn.
