Ancient Bonds Reveal Day 1 Vetruvian: Blood Of Air

vetruvians don’t have much options to work with. indeed artefacts are quite bad most of the time.
songhai can remove them with pings easily and consistently turn after turn.
abyssian spamm with 1/1 wraithlings can block her attacks for long time, doesn’t help to have 10 attack when path is blocked by 1/1s if you don’t have ankh.
ranged minions retaliate against ankh so they get value even if removed.

when finally vetruvians get some removal its again balanced to be good in zirix and sajj just needs to deal with the leftovers. i guess yet another season i will not be coming back to play vetruvians…

also OTK sajj is a thing you don’t want to let her just stack artefacts and one shot people all the time without them being able to do anything about it.

i guess time maelstrom is the problem.
a rework could do it for example: make it 3 mana teleport your hero anywhere on the map, would make oneshots harder, and controlling positioning easier. then sajj could get some reasonable cards. without being oppressive.

maybe an arcanyst that gives you general forcefield as long as it’s equipped or gives your general spell shield. that way it would also have tribal support for the theme as well as kind of interacting with spells

Well ur post escalated quickly. Only one card was revealed we have at the very least t more cards to go… Not to mention neutrals. Ghoulie helps you make hybrid decks.

As for use I’m sorry u want to min max to the fullest but blood of air is a perfect sajj fit. You have ur gifts on turn six which is a huge burst of damage and turn 5 u can get rid of any threats and have the possibility to do damage. Past turn 6 u can combo with other cards.

Finally !!! RANGED REMOVAL  (although expensive)

I’m just happy that BMP with her wraith shield isn’t more or less game ending anymore for Vet players. That being said Mech decks are still going to require answers when Mechazor drops which means those shrouds or crossbones will remain. The question before a Zirix player in particular is what do you cut to make room for this spell assuming you are not running Entropic Decays currently.

If anything Vet players are going to scrap the deck they’ve been using for the past forever and build stuff from scratch assuming the expansion gives us enough to work with (i.e. New Dervishes for the love of the stupid tree everyone worships, structure support, Sajj Support and etc).

Sajj support? That’s viable? One can dream of another Autarch’s-esque release, but no more.

I appreciate the design of this card. Can make for heavy swing turns. Playing around this means playing into Stars Fury as well (another powerful 5-mana spell).

The cost seems appropriate. If there’s any faction that does well up close and personal, it’s Vetruvian, so making the ranged removal more expensive seems like the best thing to do with the card to avoid the faction being too strong.

But who knows? There are still plenty of cards yet to be revealed. All we can do is wait.

This card gave me the feels.

OMG guys, this card ignores Dying Wish! so ooooop !

it does not ignore dying wish, it transforms the enemy, so the enemy becomes something else that doesn’t have dying wish.

it works the way aspect of the fox does, as long as a card doesn’t say “destroy” and instead it says “transform” then no dying wish action will happen.
