The Vetruvian winds blow and with them they carry the scent of battle and there is blood in the air.
Make your foes cower as their very allies turn against them. Welcome Blood Of Air to Duelyst!

like Dark Transform but better

I believe you forgot to add: “Near your general” to the beginning.
Just thought i’d bring it to your attention.
Well, this is a solid card. Gives vet a way to remove a minion and deal 2 damage. At the very least, it gives the option to remove bulkier threats, like kelaino, which rashas and bone can’t deal with.
Range removal and deverish synergy awesome
So basically another strong-to-overpowered card that’s ok only because it’s given to Vet.
sigh
Getting a liitttlle tired of this.
Compare this to Dark Transformation. DT destroys a minion and summons a 1/1 Wraithling in its place. So not only does it still proc Dying Wishes, it also summons a 1/1. Wraithlings also have much more limited natural synergies.
Now Blood of Air. This guys transforms an enemy minion, bypassing Dying Wish, and summons a Wind Dervish. A Wind Dervish, incidently, has much more synergies. It gets buffed by Fireblaze (and Windstorm I suppose) innately, and it can also attack on the same turn. Now, I’m sure some of you are saying “but it dies at the end of the turn, so that’s ok, right?” The entire point of a Wind Dervish is to die. It’s not a loss at all to remove a large minion of your opponents and then deal some more damage on top of it.
tl;dr If anything, this should summon an Iron Dervish.
This card is… pretty good
This is possible the most absolute removal in the game. It hard-removes something, destroying the effect and leaving you with 2 free damage. Sure, it costs much more than things like Thumping Wave and Onyx Bear Seal, but the dervish can potentially let you trade 2 for 1, and it vastly outshines Dark Transformation, which was played for a while. In the earlygame, Vetruvian still needs to deal with ranged value the old fashioned way, but in the mid to late game, this card can demolish certain minions.
Compared to other factions’ hard removal, this card is competent. Not the worst and certainly not the best but still competent.
The dying wish part is valid, but the dervish part is debatable. I think that, in some cases, the wind dervish is worse, since it only lasts a turn. Seeing as vet will use it for backline removal most of the time, it won’t be an issue unless they invest heavily into it. In an isolated position, a wraithling is better for buffs, ritual banishing, or just for relocaion for a later turn.
I think that’s a good suggested alternative, but I don’t think it’s strong-to-overpowered due to the rest of the spells that Vet has in contrast to Abyssian.
Abyssian has spell after spell in addressing enemy minions in comparison to Vet. I think in being matched with the 5 mana slot alongside Star’s Fury makes it a touch more interesting as well.
Overall I think this is a fair card. I’m fairly certain it’s replacing Entrophic Decay in most decks, it costs only one more and gets rid of anything cleanly. However, I don’t feel it’s remotely OP. It’s very expensive, it’s going to soak up a large portion of your turn leaving you with very little to do. It’s a fairly large tempo loss depending on what you remove so it’s not a good card when behind but ahead when you’re denying stuff from your opponent. I think it’s a two off in some Dervish decks, replacing Entrophic Decay, and I’m excited to test it out when it comes live!
And compared to current Vet ranged unconditional hard removals, it’s competent too
I guess, after release, Entropic Decay will fall in the forgotten card list
Thank you cpg for giving vet some good removal. Watch as this gets nerfed within a month to only target minions near your general
It’s a beautiful day to be a member of the Imperium, now this’ll either get nerfed into the ground because Wind Dervish or a different card will be so remarkably stupid good that Blood of Air will be the next Divine Spark
RIP playing 5+ Mana minions vs Vetruvian. Why do these unconditional spells keep getting printed? CP pls, why don’t you want me to play Peacekeeper et al so badly?
Well Ied say blame the Siphon nerf for this beautiful creation, because before said nerf Vet had a means of ranged answers. But hey, I’m sure that Aegis Barrier will look absolutely smashing on that golem beat stick o death.
Actually, if you play more than 3x 5+Mana minion, it should be ok unless Vets starts using Alcuin
It’s funny how so many people are posting so funny extreme things, shouting here and there, “RIP”, “OP”, “IMBA”, whining loudly and running like headless chicken.
Damn, I love these release, it’s always a good laugh in the forums
I won’t be surprised to see dedicated nerf thread for cards that are not even out yet

wow, this is strong. i can see the nerf threads now. “cleared my gigantic threat AND my little dude with 1 card”
“What?! They managed to kill my priestess after she was surrounded by wraithlings AND traded that damn Dervish into one of them?! OP PLEZ NERF”
