Meh, very underwhelming. Would be more interesting if it was a Artifact or minion that made both players draw from their opponents deck.

So essentially card disadvantage you pay for in the faction with the arguably the worst draw in the game?

I’m all for fun myself but when your faction only has 5 reveals to begin with how doesn’t this come off as insulting garbage?

And … honestly, just between us … what did he do wrong ?
Did you have to humiliate and/or punish him with this dedicated card ?
Is he really such a despicable person ?

This way casting player would actually have advantage. I believe, the disadvantage was intended. You pay mana AND card to get a random card instead. Opponent pays nothing and gets the same. It’s worse than mind steal, where you do actually get a guaranteed body immediately. It’s worse than Starhorn’s BBS, since you are also paying a card AND get smth possibly irrelevant.

This card is not designed to have advantage. It is designed for people, who like to play cards from several factions at once, which is impossible otherwise. It is also designed as cantrip 1 mana “proc all your Arcanysts and also mask”. I’m OK with this card.

Everything above is just my opinion, of course.

Actually, when I think about it, it would be a very nice card to play if you have 3x … check this combo :

  • your turn : play Joseki
  • opponent gets one of the 2 other Joseki left in your deck
  • opponent is pissed
  • you get a card from opponent’s deck (that will be inevitably better than that Joseki you just lost)
  • you are happy
  • opponent’s turn : he wants revenge and play the Joseki he just got
  • you get another nice card from his deck
  • you are happy (again)
  • opponent gets your last Joseki
  • opponent is utterly pissed, ragequit and concede
  • you win

Even if this requires a lot of luck with statistics, I can’t see any other efficient reason to play this card.

Yes, it’s a joke, don’t start it with your boring Arcanyst/Mask synergy, we all figured that already, just trying to have fun with a card that is definitely not funny.

There’s only one card in the game to combo this with: Sphinx.

Here, take this card that has no synergy with your deck. It’d be a shame if you…couldn’t replace it. :laughing:

Sphynx is a minion that is playable, though… you’d have to have a Riddle in your deck, which is impossible, and even then what’re the odds that’s the card they steal…

I think the purpose of this card is to run a low curve and punish greedy decks, keeping your hand refilled with the new rush

My point is that Sphinx puts a Riddle in the opponent’s action bar, which prevents them from replacing until they cast it. (I know that Joseki won’t give your opponent a Riddle)

Using Joseki will probably put an awkward card in the opponent’s hand which, thanks to the Riddle, cannot be replaced until they spend 2 mana to transfer the Riddle to you.

(This is by no means a new laddering idea for me, but it could be hilarious to pull off :joy:)

OMG I love these types of cards. Even better when it happens both ways. Back in my Hearthstone days, Thoughtsteal(Copy 2 Random cards from your opponents deck) and Loremaster Cho (everytime a spell is cast put a copy of it in the opponents hand) were probably the cards that I had the most fun with.

Just wish it wasn’t for Songhai, the only faction that I don’t play. ;(

Why all the hate?

Against an aggro deck, wouldn’t you want a cheap card that they run to help you out?

Against control, wouldn’t you want a high drop or removal?

Also, 1 mana spell in Songhai that at the very least gives you a card to replace. I like it! Especially for owl’s spell triggers!

Also, you could steal combo pieces or something. That’s cool too.

Guys, I just want to say two things about this card: 1. Should be cast when your opponent has a full action bar so he doesn’t get anything 2. You get an idea about what your opponent is playing so now you know what to expect.

now that i have got time to think about this card i understand the purpose of it.

Since Caligrapher is really strong and good, this card is meant to pollute songhai spell so that caligrapher might give us this
