So some may know of me from my Onyxhai deck, but for those who don’t, I’m KingOnyx (ign name). I play pretty much only Kaleos and usually post the deck I get to S-Rank with.
To be honest, as someone who frequently plays this “non-meta” general I have to say that oddly the AB meta has been great to me as a deckbuilder. The two top dogs can be pretty oppressive (though this deck I am showing has a solid matchup against both), sure, but I’ve faced a surprising amount of variety on ladder.
This month I once again played only Kaleos (with the exception of 5 Zirix games) and in Diamond I went 30-8 with my new Aggro Kaleos list (I got S-Rank just last night in about ~70 games total). I find the deck extremely fun to pilot. The general idea of it is that everything you do can do damage. We’re running things like tigers which can double as removal or damage, Cobra Strike which functions as removal and damage, Katara/Kaido can be used to trade efficiently or do tons of damage, so on and so forth.
