Abyss void talon assassination deck

meme abyss deck as part as my project of running a single faction account, i’ts been a week now and my abyss progression seems legit.

this is the deck as for now - it will get changed a lot.

but a few combos will remain:
void talon + reflection —> 11 dmg, 6 mana.
realm keeper/thunder + artifact —> hell on wheels.
void pulse/ desolator/mystic/rx - healing.

ideas? thoughts?

I’ve tried all of the above. Reflection is mediocre without Tiger, Talon is good enough that it doesn’t need Reflection. The Purgatos/Thunderhorn frenzy combo is dank but it never goes off unless your opponent has no brain. Healing of choice depends on your general and deck type.

i had a great success with the deck till now.
talon turn 1 to reflection leaves no hope for winning unless they play ziran.
and realmkeeper out of reach usually getting no reaction or getting shut down quick - leaving less removal for desolator .

you went for punish over ritual banishment for lilithe :thonk:

I used to question that myself - but over time I’m seeing a lot of people just use a wraithling to deal the 1dmg to make them accessible to Punish. Often the things you want to deal with are close and trading, or already injured (like Lavaslasher). Works much better if you can run a chipper as well I suppose, or just general wraithling production.

Banishing ofc is still stronger to deal with threats at range, which can’t be dealt with BBS+Punish in the same turn like Cass. I prefer the old-fashioned RB in Lilithe and Punish in Cass (and Maehv with Cacophynos)

Punish is better tempo, and still good in Lilithe. Usually even better with Jaxi or Sarlac

Am I the only one to just step back out of reach if I can’t neutralize a Void Talon the turn it’s cast ?
(and just ping/clean it after)

I mean, is this really something we can call a “combo” ??

that is the usual strategy

but its not always something you can run from

That’s usually what whip is for. Or they feel the need to contest the mana tile and push forward

Whip or Nightsorrow Assassin, Equality Constraint, Grapnel, Natural Selection, Polarity …

Tell you what, as for now nearly 90% and counting of my void + boom hits.
It’s only matter of good positioning.
Besides fir some reason people are rend to keep their removal close when a build is poping first turn.

That’s surprising, at face value it sounds like something not too hard to play around. Good that it’s working for you, the deck looks fun
